As we were driving around over the weekend, Lady Flange and I ended up following an AC Ace.
Cue her turning to me and saying "we ought to get a really old car like that".
Which, if I'm not mistaken (I'm not) is sign-off for a Cobra.
As Jazzy Jeff once said, "marvellous".

I'd love an Ace.

Well, it's certainly rare! Most consumed themsleves within a few years of manufacture.DJRC said:
Do any of us actually have any examples of us doing the car buying thing right? We cant all just have "doh" stories, someone must have a success story surely?
My Elise is still worth the same amount I paid for it about four years ago, which is nice, although obviously it's had lots of TLC lavished upon it.However, a rather painful mistake on an NSX has pushed me so far into the red on the overall balance sheet that it's irrelevant. I could set fire to the Elise this evening, and it would barely be more financially damaging. Heigh ho!
Does anyone on here have a use for a bluefin handset? No idea if I reset the fiesta to standard before desposing of it but I've just found the thing in the garage.
I did phone to ask about resetting it for the pooma but they wanted £306! Which is £100 more than they quote for a new one for the same car and for 7bhp extra I'd rather just wear lighter shoes.

Define 'right'?On a purely fiscal basis, surely the only argument for getting it 'right', is to buy a new car for £10, spend nothing taxing/insuring/fueling/insuring/maintaining it and then make a profit when you sell it in 50yrs time.
But then it all depends by what yardstick one is measuring getting it 'right'.

Otherwise, I deserve to be taken out back and fisted.
