There's a guy locally who has a Silk Cut Jaguar XKR8 - he was filling up at the petrol station a few years ago - looks just like the one Jan Lammers gave Scuhmie a hard time in. Must be raw on the road!
Do you mean XJR9? If so I've seen this at Silverstone and it is road legal - i saw the tax disc in the window... Couldn't believe it. I thought it could be a replica...but on closer inspection of the cockpit it looked like an original...The one we've got is bloody snug to get in and out, a driver change must be hard work when knackered and against the clock.
It is a fantastic thing to see on road though, I was in a Carrera GT for a photoshoot and had it filling my mirrors, headlights ablaze. Just for a moment it felt like being at Le Mans!

Kudos to the owner for buying and driving this awesome machine to buy a can of Red Bull!
I know it's an overused expression these days but that car is epic in every way.
If I had a few quid I would love something like this or a replica 787B or even a Minolta.
You gotta love the old group C cars

The car featured in the video has a carbon tub.
Were the original Porsche race cars made from an alloy tub ?
the factory cars were all alloy tub cars, but a lot of the race teams at the time made their own carbon tubs, kremer and richard lloyd (amongst others) spring to mind. Were the original Porsche race cars made from an alloy tub ?
