There's nothing like the Dauer.

Those others look sub standard in comparison.

Just my opinion.

Phil

you're absolutely right.

Big shame Jochen Dauer is doing time now because of tax evasion frown (aka fraud)

There is nothing substandard about this

It's like a little bit of Le Mans on the road. I love it.

Why lower the appearance of your car which is already way above any standard with matte black wrapping?

Probably because he thinks it's cool, but in my eyes, it's just deteriorating the car it's applied on. And that's a shame in this case.

With which I mean it's an above standard car, but a sub standard 962.
(in my opinion of course)

There's a guy locally who has a Silk Cut Jaguar XKR8 - he was filling up at the petrol station a few years ago - looks just like the one Jan Lammers gave Scuhmie a hard time in. Must be raw on the road!

Is that a genuine XJR8 or something vaguely resembling?

Do you mean XJR9? If so I've seen this at Silverstone and it is road legal - i saw the tax disc in the window... Couldn't believe it. I thought it could be a replica...but on closer inspection of the cockpit it looked like an original...

The one we've got is bloody snug to get in and out, a driver change must be hard work when knackered and against the clock.

It is a fantastic thing to see on road though, I was in a Carrera GT for a photoshoot and had it filling my mirrors, headlights ablaze. Just for a moment it felt like being at Le Mans!

Nice car, but boring video.sleep cmon! Just floor it, let's actually hear it and see it on the road rather than some interview.

Kudos to the owner for buying and driving this awesome machine to buy a can of Red Bull!
I know it's an overused expression these days but that car is epic in every way.

If I had a few quid I would love something like this or a replica 787B or even a Minolta.
You gotta love the old group C cars cloud9

The dark blue, yes. The light blue/gulf? I don't have a clue what kind of car/project/dream that is.
The blue one, looks like a Spectre R42 to me

It's for sale if you fancy it http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C229277 as is a silver one. I'm sure there was a dark coloured one for sale recently too. Only 23 made too.

The car featured in the video has a carbon tub.

Were the original Porsche race cars made from an alloy tub ?
the factory cars were all alloy tub cars, but a lot of the race teams at the time made their own carbon tubs, kremer and richard lloyd (amongst others) spring to mind.
