There's a guy locally who has a Silk Cut Jaguar XKR8 - he was filling up at the petrol station a few years ago - looks just like the one Jan Lammers gave Scuhmie a hard time in. Must be raw on the road!
Do you mean XJR9? If so I've seen this at Silverstone and it is road legal - i saw the tax disc in the window... Couldn't believe it. I thought it could be a replica...but on closer inspection of the cockpit it looked like an original...
I saw this car at Knebworth, again suspected replica, but it looked all pukka right down to old scrutineering passes, the absolute business....didnt have a camera with me mad

Yes. That XJR-15 belongs to a gentleman down in Devon.

Whenever I think of Group C cars, I think of this epic pole qualifying lap @ Le Mans (90') by Brundell in the barmy NISSAN R90CK. If only they had HD back then.

About 20 years ago I ran an Art Gallery, and we put on a Motorsport exhibition.
I wanted to have a few bits of racing car bodywork in the Gallery so I ended up borrowing bits of 962 from Vern Schuppan's place in High Wycombe.
There were cars in various states of undress, ready to be built into customer road cars. I was told to take whatever I could carry, I was like a kid at Christmas!!
Unfortunately, Vern wanted the bodywork back, otherwise it would now be hanging on the wall of my lounge!!
I also managed to borrow Derek Warwick's Silk Cut Jaguar race suit from TWR. I had to give that back too.

Not sure on the timeline of these road-going 962s, but the Koenig C62 was the first one I heard of

This is what dribble Schuppan normally made:

So doesn't that guy mean it is a car driven by Schuppan at some point?
Apparently this is real 962 factory car, not converted by Dauer, Schuppan and the likes that somehow ended up with a Japanese licenseplate?
Is that an XJR-15 beside it?
The dark blue, yes. The light blue/gulf? I don't have a clue what kind of car/project/dream that is.
Looks like a Spectre R42

No, but think of the fun you would have getting it over speed ramps, road cambers and the width barriers on Hammersmith bridge biggrin lol

Very cool, apart from parking in a disabled space.
It's the space nearest the door and used for cinematic effect, and this film was clearly made with the permission of Family Mart for that part of the film, so I really don't think our 962 driving buddy is taking anyone's disabled space in any kind of real environment.

No-one appears to have mentioned Count Rossi's 917 yet. That must have been fun. Registered in USA, driven in Europe. http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa...

There are also a couple of convincing replicas : http://www.carguychronicles.com/2011/07/porsche-91...

Not really my thing, when I go on photoshoots for the Porsche magazines the photos are usually embargoed till publication anyway plus I don't want it to look like I'm copying the car photographers work, even though we usually get quite different shots.
