I thought you were more of a just popping to the shops on a Sunday type person. I could have guessed a Volvo though. Shopping on a Sunday? How very dare you? Are you suggesting I'm a pleb?

That's the work car. Honda S2000 and Celica WRC GTfour are for fun...

I thought that's what Volvo people with their sundays, I'm rather wrong, your cars a brilliant. My 65 plate E Class is nearing 50k miles, I have a little way to go to get back in the 100k club, I am looking to replace it though, the, erm, Volvo S90 has caught my eye. . Shopping on a Sunday? My BMW 630i has 130k on the clock and is used every day for a 180 mile round trip commute. I see no reason why it won't easily double its current mileage.
Nor do I. Set aside a few bob for suspension and brake parts, a clutch and maybe a gearbox, and it will get there easily. Taxi drivers have been running cars north of 300k miles for over 20 years now. It's not so bad to be honest. I've averaged 28.8mpg over the last 30,000 miles. It returns 32mpg when sitting on the motorway at 80 / 85 with cruise on.
I guess it's offset by not spending £450 / £500 a month on a lease / PCP / loan repayment...Insurqnce is peanuts at £200ish / year and I reckon I've spent less than £300 on non-routine repairs over the last 2 years (I had to replace a snapped drivers side spring about 18 months ago and that's it)
