By 1994, the 911 bodyshell was nearly a quarter of a century old
Surely 64 - 94 is 30 years and therefore well over 1/4 of a century?
Long Wheel Base arrived in '69 - that's the platform which went largely unchanged to the end of 964. Surely 64 - 94 is 30 years and therefore well over 1/4 of a century?

Almost bought a Cobalt Blue '91 3.3 a couple of years ago. Still the one car that was on the list back then that I'm not quite sure I made the right decision in not buying. Getting better looking by the year IMO, to the point where I prefer the look of these to the 993TT
Do 3.3 or 3.6 Turbo S ever come up for sale? Don't remember seeing any

I'm really keen to drive one of these, to discover whether or not the legend about the terrifying handling is true or not.
I could tame it, of course
Would a non-turbo one be quicker A to B in the hands of an enthusiastic (rather than expert) driver on roads with no speed limits and no oncoming traffic?

Nope. The 964 Turbo S lwt was even more aggressive looking.
And utterly rabid. Loved it.
You are absolutely right. I posted on here a few months ago asking where I could buy one. Then crawled back under my rock when I realised they're over £150,000 now - used to be £60k... (I'm so annoyed). And utterly rabid. Loved it.
Oh - and the most aggressive 911 ever is the 964 RS 3.8.
I am a fan of the 964 Turbo: I always thought the subsequent 993 Turbo looked like it had been sat out in the hot sun too long.
Nevertheless I don't see why this one is worth anything like the asking price. You could buy 2 x 375bhp Ferrari 355 with lower mileages for that sort of money.

"You know you drive almost slow enough to drive Miss Daisy!"
964 Turbo has always been on my list, what a beastie!
I remember 'Car' testing one in a terrible pastel pink colour and 'Top Gear Magazine's' first issue had one for a group test in Mint Green, went up against a ZR-1 and TVR Griffith 400 if I remember correctly!

And you could buy two very nice E34 M5 3.8s for the cost of an LC. Please don't let this become another endless debate about the values of various cars. They're rare, people like them, someone will buy it, the end as far as I'm concernedNevertheless I don't see why this one is worth anything like the asking price. Surely the 964 wasn't introduced in 1994, but in 1989.. so (almost) exactly 1/4 of a century at the time of introduction (1965 was first production year of the 911..)Surely 64 - 94 is 30 years and therefore well over 1/4 of a century?
