Oh it brings back memories. I had a 2002tii in red some years ago. My first BMW. Not a round light but still stylish and quick.
I so wanted a 3.0CS after this but could not find a decent project. I sold it for £2002. ha. Never been without a BMW since.

Cool cars - fortunate enough to have owned a fair few over the years, favourite was the 2002 tii Touring.

Sorry but its a bit ugly IMO. The Alfa Giulia from the same era looks prettier for a box shape.

I had the exact same car (1973) - 2002 Tii with round back lights, Turbo Body Kit, but with twin head lights. It was RHD (as I lived in Twickenham, London, in 1987) in cherry red colour. It was a wonderful car to drive, full leather interior...... great days.

Nearly bought a 1602 in the late 70's but on inspection it was as rotten as a pear. According to the dodgy car dealer it had a fresh MOT, yea right by Stevie Wonder!

Beautiful car.

Such clean line, so cool, so retro.

I wouldn't change anything on it, if it were mine (apart from fix that front lip!).

Love it. And off to the classifieds I go....

Long term project would be great. I've always wanted to do a Hakosuka but these are probably more realistic

I used to own a chamonix white 2002 tii. Had to get rid of it in 2007 - then tried to buy it back off the chap I sold it to but he said he's keeping it for life! Gutted!

Had an Inca Orange 02Tii from 1989 to 1994
Hillclimbed it ocassionally
Toured Highlands of Scotland a few times (lovely photo on the Bealach na Ba)
Towed my mates Autocross Escort on a trailer (tail wagging the dog - long overhang at the rear)
Over the time I put a Janspeed exhaust, Konis on it, rebuilt the head, thrashed it mercilessly and loved it. It was getting a bit rusty in places and eventually sold it as a rebuild project in 1994 for IIRC about $400!
It turned up Historic Rallying in around 2007 minus the bits I put on but a bit tidier.
HTY ***L
Best laugh I had was due to its shape and colour (think mid 1980's)
Two young lads walked past it "look at that Lada with a BMW badge"
