I really wanted the Daewoo and Quattroporte to share lights when I saw that post, but they’re definitely different frown

Venturi 400gt

that looks a bit odd when you see them alongside. The BMW has a dynamic and clean rear end into which the lights fit perfectly/coheisively, but on the venturi it looks as if - maybe they didn't want the car to ape the BMWs distinctive rear end too much - the design looks kind of apologising for its lights. Not the only such example mind.

If they were the same we'd know that by now.

And besides how could Maserati use the rear lamps off an everyday humdrum appliance after the spectacular boomerangs on the 3200GT?
And then they used these super boring lights, I can’t actually see it now but when they came out they reminded me of Vectra lights. Probably just because they wouldn’t look out of place on a Vectra.

I saw that post on here about the Novitec Levante El Duce Tatto Mobili and thought by crikey they look like old Impreza hatch tail lights from some chinese auto tat factory:

But alas while they're similar in shape, they're a way off:

The Tropical Cabines Tropiclassic, with Ford Focus saloon mk1 rear lights.

It's a Brazilian market Ford F 250 diesel pickup, with the bodywork changed to a saloon car. https://jalopnik.com/the-tropical-cabines-tropicla...

This could also go in the cars I didn't know existed thread, but the rear lights won.

What on earth would influence them to graft poorly-proportioned Mondeo lights to an otherwise unique looking car like that, over (what you'd assume the more logical choice) some basic universal round ones?

Personally I think they look far better than the generic round ones, or the odd square ones that the original Mantara used.

I can't save the image for some reason, but if you scroll down to the Chevrolet versions on that link, they seem to share the rear lights with either a Carlton/Omega A or an Astra Mk2. Can't quite make it out fully.
