Saw a very unusual car on the M1 earlier this evening, but there were no clues as to what it was - no badges or manufacturer's name (that I could see).

It was clearly old (silver and black rear number plate), red, quite "swoopy", four doors and some strange quarterlights at the back.

The reg was 26 GRO if anyone in PH land can use that to identity it (no dubious reason, just that I'd never seen anything like it and would really like to know what it was).

Vauxhall Cresta.
Sounds like one of the earlier ones.

Thanks chaps, I was on my phone earlier, so couldn't do much searching.

So, a Vauxhall Cresta? It's frothy, man.

That's certainly what it looked like, but it wasn't in the best of nick.
