One of the previous models passed me and my old man the other day and he remarked something about getting a morgage to maintain one.

The profile is stunning, not sold on the front, too much 370z and Japan in the headlights.
My immediate thought on the rear was new CLS lights.
Saying all this, I was not a fan of the last model when it came out but it is now one of my favourite cars so I was almost bound to be disappointed.

Looks like they handed an oval Maserati dash clock to the good folk at Audi and said "design a saloon around that for us"
laugh Just about sums it up!

Another car that has become too over styled.

Not a fan.

I'd take a Jaguar XJ instead, personally.

I just find the Quattroporte looks tooooo long...

I love the Gran Turismo though, would probably be my daily driver if I won the Euro Millions smile

a little disappointing.

They have had enough time to be a bit more creative with the design.

Not a great makeover when the last one was so good and looks AMAZING in black with black wheels.

Saw a silver one for sale ver recently (last week in fact) with negligable milage for £16.5K, it was VERY tempting.

So are the earliest current shape cars impressive value because they are marmite styled, and people fear everything Italian, or are there any genuine concerns or reasons why choosing one of them might be any more risky than an M5, RS6, AMG E Class?

its almost like the face is too small for the car!, still more interesting then an audi though..even with that backend!

I'm glad everyone else thinks it looks like an audi from behind. I thought I was seeing things.

If they offered these with a manual box, I think I would have one on my driveway by now, to replace my old E39 M5 steam train.

shocked at the response on here..I always thought the previous Quattroporte looked poorly proportioned...this one looks 10x better in my opinion anyway... paperbag

pretty, but looks a bit derivative at the back. While it's not as good looking as the original, still classier than most of it's rivals

Is this a facelift or a new car?

BTW: I love the first 'new QP' - like this http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C303691

Glad I'm not the only one TinkerTaylor - I think it looks way better than the previous model!
I'm a bit of an Audi fan, though, so perhaps that's why ...! paperbag

I think the problem is that they've tried to make a four-door GranTurismo rather than design a gorgeous saloon car from the ground up.

I agree. However, the Rapide has one pretty major flaw considering what it's meant to be (a four-door, four-seater saloon).

There is absolutely no room in the back whatsoever. Anyone trading in the DB9 for one because the kids are growing up will be extremely annoyed.
