There's only any point joining if it you're actually buying a ticket and would actually honour it! I've somehow ended up with 9 tickets and would love to go shopping with some fellow PHers!

I've just chipped in to a 6 person syndicate. What this means is you will now only get a £3300 car if I win.

Any you are also in this one, so need to buy another ticket.

Not much point in registering an interest in a syndicate if you don't intend to buy a ticket for it!

I bought my ticket at lunch, now I'm just worried about what the OH will say if I win £6 and have to spend £1m on cars for some internet strangers!

Don't fret, I'll buy one later.
Now, assuming I have more than one line, am I obliged to nominate just one? wink

Whoa, there was no rquirement to buy a ticket, this was a plain offer by the OP to spend his odd million on the first 50 greedy bast*rds to put their name down.

I don't do the lottery because nobody ever picks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and neither have they ever come up though are just as likley to. That should puts the odds into perspective. Overall, I tend to be about as lucky as a Jimmy Savile victim who has just been offered a place in a North Wales children's home.
Apparently lots of people play 1-6 as their numbers. If it ever comes up the payout per person will be tiny.

So, as previously said, I'm dreaming about buying 49 of you the extra garage hogging 4 wheels you've nominated (or their equiv's).

Sincerely hope that, with the aid of my newly hired accountant and book-keeper (see previous posts), I'm spending a week or so verifying the bone-fides of the first 49 of us to join the "syndicate" to make sure we can hold that track day!

OK, an unlikely scenario, but, after spending £24.5m on you lot, contributing to charity, paying off the kids, paying the lawyers to prevent having to pay off kids I know nothing about to date, paying for the lawyers to invoke privacy actions to stop school friends telling all about my escapades in 4E, I'll happily retire to the heaven that will be my newly purchased estate with man cave garage ........... now where would be the ideal spot, warm clime, no speed limits, interesting roads, a working plumbing system and decent beer? Suggestions welcome for now, I may be paying for the advice in a few hours time.... Let's hope so

Good luck to all of us greedy, something for nothing, dreamers!

Can I just say that I misread most of this title, thread, post etc and if you do buy me that Cadillac, I won't be coming on any track day unless I can change my car choice...

"Oh yes Sir Mr Alphaalfa sir, those 50 cars at £50k certainly did cost you £24.5m. And very genrous you were too. What's that sorry? My new house in Mayfair, yacht and McLaren F1? Oh yeah I forgot to tell you I won the lottery too! Amazing coincidence I know! How much? £22m! Im very happy despite not winning anywhere near as much as you did sir. Yes of course I'll be happy to continue to be your accountant, I LOVE working for you!"

Yup, read my previous, I will happily spend the £24.5m on the lucky 49 IF I win - THE JACKPOT - £121m ish and change, solely, greedily mine, to be then shared and divvied out as I choose, and I would LOVE to be in that position.....as for LuS1fer, I'll happily present you with the Caddy out of my winnings, you smile and drive once sedately round the track - honour satisfied!

Now, only a few more hours of this fantasy left before returning to planet 9 - 5, PH brightens my day at the PC!

Excellent! Please send it to me in cheque form, made out to me (of course) and I'll handle all the details for the purchase and payments of the cars, no need to worry yourself about the details!

Well if you win and you're splitting 24.5 million between the 49 of us I'd like to change my car choice.

Thanks very much biggrin
