Had a ride in a 410, was a wonderful experience. Very torquey, but very comfy!

Lovely lovely car! The quality of writing on this and recent carpools has been excellent too.

Great article from an obvious enthusiast.

I have never seen one on the road!

They all look very odd to me though.

Lovely, really lovely, thanks for sharing. That interior is gorgeous.

I visited the Kensington showroom once, the salesmen all seemed to be heavy-smoking playboys who went water-skiiing on holiday. The cars ooze class, and the Fighter I sat in was beautifully solid and really nicely designed inside. A defo lottery car, but I'd have a 410 first.

I think that interior is fantastic and it's pre odd looking gearshift housing and instrument binnacle!

Interesting piece spoiled slightly by the total lack of any pictures that show the front of the car! Is it not too pretty I wonder?

Try flicking through the thread and you'll find the additional pics.

Classy. Only thing that really compares with one of these would be RR Corniche coupe (which is essentially a 2 door Silver Shadow). Except that the Bristol is so much rarer. I like.

Or perhaps an Alvis? The Facel Vega has a similar 'cool coupe' look too, but obviously isn't British.

Bristol cars are so so rare though and only recognisable to us anoraks. I've only ever seen one 410/411 on the road and that was on the way back from Le Mans about ten years back. The driver was togged-out in the style of an English country gent - tattersal check shirt and v-neck jumper - and was black. Uber cool.

A fair point smile Here you go. Sorry it's a bit grubby here.

It's not that the front isn't pretty, but I do love the profile view!

Not really comparable as a thing to drive.

Great to see PH celebrating Bristols. As some else said, nice to have a thread with posters expressing universal approval (Bristols do have their knockers).

I would love a Fighter T or a 405. Even more than a Morgan!

I desperately love Bristols. I used to see a Blenheim occasionally near me, but I haven't for a while now.
My favourite shape would be the Beaufighter. I've promised myself that I'll have one one day.
