that looks horrific IMHO.
Looks like Merc have beaten Mansoury, Kahn and the other tasteless 'tuners' to it.Footbalists will love it.
So, I've not been much of a fan of the new SLS series - coupe or convertible. Too big, too soft, a terrible misuse of a coveted styling cue for no good reason (for the gull-wing doors). And, like quite a few sporty Merc's of recent years, it looks like the styling department got to the B- (or rearmost) pillar and then went our for wurst and beers and weren't motivated to do a commendable job on the rear-end when they returned.
But the new Black and AMG Series cars are more, um, interesting. They are looking truly sporty, aggressive and, well, nasty. I'm sure the engines in all of the car have vast amounts of power. But whether they rev, and rev quickly, and whether they FEEL like they've shed a bunch of weight and move from high-power GT cars to real sports cars is to be determined.
If they had built the SLS at 7/8's or 3/4's scale of the current one, with all of the power, features and design cues (but with a better rear-end of course) then it would be far more interesting.
So though the new ones are heightening my interest, I can only imagine the price tag and, in that regard, I'll look more closely at a GT3, Ferrari, an R8 or even an Exige.

I only watched the first minute or so of the video because it was so bad.
It was like Top Gear or something, the way the camera could only film a little bit of the car and then it suddenly flickered onto something else completely, again and again. It also kept changing speed. I didn't get to see the actual car properly at all.
They should've used proper cameramen and editors to make the film, it could've been ok.
