This is probably not the right forum to post this but....

Some scumbags let themselves into our house tonight whilst my wife was reading bed time stories to the two youngest kids and I had just popped out for ten minutes to drop the eldest off at scouts.

They walked into our kitchen, took my wife's handbag, my laptop and then helped themselves to the key to my Alpina D3 - graphite grey, registration number FJ08 FFY.

My wife saw them out of the window and apparently gave them a round of expletives but luckily, she stayed inside... There were three of them all in their hoodies with scarves wrapped around their faces...

We live in Hucknall which is just north of Nottingham so if anyone sees it, please let me or the police know.

Thanks fellow Pistonheaders

Andrew

I have just posted this on another forum i visit, hope thats okay.

Goodluck on getting this sorted, i think capital punishment should be reinstated for instances like this!

Look on sites such as eBay or Gumtree for D3 parts, as a D3 will be a hard car to progress with once stolen, due to not many of them being on the road.

Sorry to hear about your car being taken. On the positive side, your wife and kids are all ok. I'm pretty close to Hucknall so will keep an eye out for it.

Will be keeping them peeled for this as I'm just North of Hucknall and my old man is a fellow Alpina owning Hucknall resident.
'Joyriding' used to be a favourite hobby of the Hucknall lowlife 20 years ago but I think car theft is a little more calculated these days and especially with it being taken with the keys. frown

It normally is but I had just dashed out for literally ten minutes and my wife and other kids were all still up, it was only 7.15 pm after all. The thieving scumbags must have been watching, either that or they were just VERY lucky...

Sorry to hear this. What kind of spec? I mean things like wheels (Classic or Dynamic), and build number?

I really hope you get it sorted. Have lots of mates around Notts so have asked them to keep their eyes peeled. Have also cross-posted to thealpinaregister.co.uk

Thanks.

The car has silver classic alloys, 19". It is totally standard but for a small bee sting aerial on the back for my mobile phone. The build number is 543 and it is on the Alpina Register.

Bugger...

It has just recently had new plates fitted (same registration number) but with Alpina Logo on them, but apart from that, it looks just like on the photo.

It seems joyriding is still alive and well today - had my VR4 stolen a few weeks back and was found in a right mess. To make it worse it was spotted driving round a town 20 mins from me 2 days after it was taken (4 chav types in hoodies) so I spent about a week doing a stakeout on this place but to no avail. I just wish I'd had a tracker fitted. I've just had one fitted in its replacement. They wont get away with it again, thats for sure. Hope you get it recovered in a decent state.
