Rank. They sold none as it is butt ugly. That's glaringly obvious.

How did these people earn £10mil in the first place?!

Wow that's just too ugly for any amount of money.
^ what a mess, it's like they raided loads of parts bins from a whole load of cheap cars and tried to fit them together in a sort of collage. Are any of the lighting clusters bespoke or have they all come off other vehicles?

I must be the only one who thinks it looks better than the Interceptor.

Granted it still looks terrible but I really, really dislike the looks of the old beast, don't see why people go so mad for them.

If I was looking for a car with an old Mustang engine in it, I'd buy an old Mustang and save myself a fortune.

That Jensen just looks too horrible to even consider buying.

The old Jensen is so much better and looks very cool in every way.

Pure 70's retro oldskool cool with a great soundtrack which is why people still go mental for them, and way classier than any Stang yes

Comments IMHO only though so if you happen to be a Stang fan...Truth hurts!! hehe

Wow so much hate for the S-V8!

I think it looks great, and at £35k it's got to be an appreciating bargain.

One has to wonder what were they thinking, smoking or drinking?

You'd have to be wearing your beer goggles. Those panel gaps are like canyons. Bit of a shame really. The interior does not look that bad.

And then sell the other kidney to run it! On second thoughts.....
I was about to post something similar. The Interceptor still looks totally and brutally gorgeous to me. Maybe even more desireable than an Aston of the same vintage.

I have driven an early 70s Aston and have owned two Interceptors (a late Mark III, and a Mark II, which is better). The Interceptor is, I think, more fun to drive than an Aston from the same period, but the prices of Astons are far higher than those of Interceptors.

The hood isn't latched properly in the photos
Two things lead me to doubt that. Firstly, look at the shut line along the side of the bonnet - it's perfectly parallel and doesn't widen at all, which it surely would do if the bonnet weren't latched properly. Secondly, look how close the corner of the bonnet comes to the inner corner of the headlight lens; there's absolutely no way that could get any closer.

If the bonnet is unlatched in the photo above, then the photographer who took Wikipedia's picture made the same mistake, which seems unlikely:

Depressing that ppl looking at a sports car care about panel gaps frown Cant say Ive ever noticed the size of a panel gap in any car Ive ever looked at, sat in or driven.

Crap car. Last one I saw overturned into the gravel trap at the end of the Le Mans pit straight.

Hood - as in roof - not as in bonnet wink

The hood (roof) isn't latched properly, look at the gap between the roof and bodywork.

This thread reminded me of an article some while back about the Iceni car which was touted around in the flesh at one of the major motor shows a few years ago - 10 years ago ?
Just checked and see they are still about with a new car albeit a 200mph diesel !!

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/59840/triden...

Anyone got one of the old photos of the first car they penned ?

Can't understand the hate for that project in General. At the
time I was smitten by the design and I still am, when looking
at the original sales material.

Too me this still is an attractive and underivative set of lines, that evokes the character
of the old cars with out being flat out retro.

Sad it was let down by the obvious shoddy execution. Looks like a grp kit car. Are those side
panels grp, or aluminium or steel?

Ah, beg your pardon. I grabbed the wrong end of the wrong stick there! I thought you were referring to the mahoosive panel gaps above the headlight lenses.

Did this car not start as a Healey and because the Healey family would not allow / sell the Healey name they bought the Jensen name? This might explain the odd front and rear ends having design cues from pre Interceptor Jensens, whereas the rest of body is better resolved and similar in profile to an Austin Healey.

My god that's ugly, looks like a Chinese effort. Shame as the Interceptor's a thing of beauty.

Whilst it's not a pretty car, you can see the styling cues (front and rear) from the CV8 from the 60s.

The CV8 itself is perhaps best described as jolie laide.
