Am I right in thinking that this V8 will be replaced soon and that this will be the last time that we'll see it?

Andy Green, 0-100000000 words about himself in 3 minutes.

Bet he's glad he's sat in that bentley instead of Afghanistan. I'd put 50p on the fact he wears a flying suit sat behind his desk.
clap

Had a terribly nice chat with him once at LEU.

As the HAS Cmdr, it was my job to strap the jockey in. I was in awe of the WLSR holder, but I'm afraid the whole gig was a real disappointment........ I guess I didn't bring enough sponsorship potential....

HAS Cmdr????
I'm impressed. I was only a lowly HAS Cpl, but at least I didn't have to strap in the pilot. That was the SAC liney's job!

Probably the most sensible comment posted so far. Epic motor car. None of the German carbon-fibre door handles, unobtainium tyres and crap interior. A very fast, good looking, quiet and comfortable gentleman's club on wheels. Best in the world for its intended purpose, perhaps?
Thank you. I first saw a couple parked in Mulsanne during the Le Mans race last year, very elegant. Studied them again at the classic race this year and I love it, fantastic car with an appeal the Phantom just doesn't have for me.

To me, that is the model that captures the essence of Bentley. Not these overweight hyper-coupes and convertibles you see here and everywhere over the past decade. And this latest model is more stunning than ever. If I ever I find the need for a four door sedan and have the funds available, there is no other car I'd rather have. Simply beautiful.

Interesting infommercial...

Lovely car, just a shame it's a VW Phaeton / Audi A7, in prettier clothes!

No it isn't. It is a bespoke platform, body and engine designed, engineered and built in Crewe.

By setting the land speed record, Andy Green has made himself a hero amongst men...

But I'm not liking all this publicity he's doing at the moment.

It's just cringe-worthy...

Further more I'm bored of hearing all about how the bloodhound is going to break the record.

We get it, it's difficult, it's fast and it's dangerous... but you have all your sponsors...

Just get on and break it before one of my relatives croak! mad

They don't have all the money or anywhere near all the money and need to keep promoting the project.

Must be.

As it can do three miles a minute at 170mph apparently.
wobble

(and yes, I hate those dials, along with Astons backwards rev counter.
It's not clever. It's not 'posh'. It's not 'groundbreaking'. It's just stupid)

What a load of marketing rubbish, looks like he's sold his soul,

suppose there was a Range Rover doing 201mph with a cameraman hanging out of the back!

Booooring...

Nice car but crap video.

Editing barfs:-
A helicopter that can easily outpace it when it's doing 170ish.
He *relaxes* as it approaches 190.
It goes from 170 > driving over a camera at about 30mph -> 170 again.

Just do a simple video with one camera pointed at the speedo / rev counter (like everyone else on YouTube does) so we can actually see how fast it accelerates.
