Booooring...

Nice car but crap video.

Editing barfs:-
A helicopter that can easily outpace it when it's doing 170ish.
He *relaxes* as it approaches 190.
It goes from 170 > driving over a camera at about 30mph -> 170 again.

Just do a simple video with one camera pointed at the speedo / rev counter (like everyone else on YouTube does) so we can actually see how fast it accelerates.
a bit like this that gets to the same speed in 30 seconds.....

Love the car, will have one in a heartbeat when I have the cash. Why do they say 200 mph when the max the video shows is 190, and even that is assuming the speedo is correct?

Bloodhound is mega project and deserves full support. Andy Green obviously loves the limelight but absolutely deserves it, after all, his life is on the line.

Interesting infommercial...

Lovely car, just a shame it's a VW Phaeton / Audi A7, in prettier clothes!
No it isn't. It is a bespoke platform, body and engine designed, engineered and built in Crewe.
Indeed, it's all Crewe, no shared platform D1 content at all. Although it's all new, it has more in common with an old Shadow or a Turbo R than a Phaeton.

Did you see the fuel consumption at 190mph?

5 mpg!!!

That means it would empty the 25 gallon, or so, tank in about 45 minutes.

Bonkers.

just about any mildly quick car will achieve that sort of consumption on track, i was expecting worse, tbh.
i have a 120hp mx5 that does 8 and a 250hp one that does about 6

In a previous life/job I had the pleasure of test driving some MPW prepped cars for a Saudi prince. One of them was a twin turbo'd old style Conti R convertible on open exhausts & no cats smile The noise was orgasmic
