these wheels are, uhm, extremely awful.

apart from the looks (mind you, there are worse examples) I think BMW got that new 1 series pretty right, even in terms of power.

The looks arent clever but the drivetrain alone for the money would tempt me.

Just order a black one to hide as much of the awfull looks as possible!!
yes OR, because I don't think I could put up with the looks, it would mean stumping up an extra £5.5k (list price) for a 335i: Much better!

It could be worse, Zagato could have got their hands on it.

I quite like it. It's not dull like some hatchbacks and it's a good drive, which is what really matters.

Hideous looking thing, it's not even a hideous car with character, it's just hideous.
Have you driven a standard one? It's certainly not lacking in character i can tell you!

The shape is a bit like marmite but the engine and the note it produces iscloud9

Back looks good, front looks horrible (nothing new from the original bodywork though...)

Do the smart thing - wait until they make another "M"... and I don't mean M-"Sport".

Even a head on accident would improve the appearence of this horror tenfold.
I cant believe people pay money for these.

That is one seriously ugly car, at least is right wheel drive. No point in actually paying for the exterior tweaks, ebay will be full of them in 6 months time

Never, I've sat in one though and seemed very "laid back" in terms of seating position. I've never actually seen a man drive one though other than Jeremy Clarkson's review, that's a standard 1series from a 116 to a 135. The coupe looks ok though.

I like the new 1 series, I can't understand why some people harp on about it being ugly. Imo it's a better looking car than the Mercedes or Audi offerings.

I think the 'crowd' think the same about it's looks, but the 'crowd' also say what a good drive it is too..

never stopped people from commenting on cars.

the point was the car is ugly and most agree. it is hard to make one look nicer.
