Very nicely shot and a very interesting guy. Very cool.

Isn't the guy who does singer porsche's a Brit living in America aswell?

Why can't these guys stay here and do interesting stuff like this??

Enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.

Now I'm having dirty thoughts of a classic 911 again

Thanks for the link.

Fascinating. Great film and a top bloke. And I want his garage/cars and his apartment.

Agreed.

Not seen this before, enjoyed that.

Not ever been a fan of 911's. But now I NEED one. That silver one of his will do very nicely. Been looking for a project/toy and not really been sure what I wanted.

I think i've found the answer.

Having watched it now with the sound on I'm actually less interested in the Porsche's and more interested in his story.

Reminds me a lot of a mate that restored Splits.

Good stuff.

Cos it's too wet and cold. But mostly too much negativity, as seen on PH.

Honestly?

I'm not a fan of porsches per say, but that film made them absolutely gorgeous, I'm converted into the classic deal with them, I'd want to be that man, minus the hair and maybe I'd let my missus stick around, but his take on the cars is beautiful, it's pure unadulterated passion for his cars, place and being. The man is living the dream.

This thread has been discussed for months on the porsche forums. My point is, i dont see the most amount of fun to be gained from having one from each year of the longhood models. Some are bound to be a bit similar.. I want one of every type instead.. 911 , 930, 935, 964, 965, 993 etc etc.

along with singers i love what they do to these old models. Im not a fan of the new 911 except maybe a gt3rs. I personally don't think he's as minted as you think. Enough to play around with and restore old porsches and buy up some cheap old properties and land. The warehouse he has and other places are/were in a seriously stty area and only probably now getting some value increase with the regeneration he talked about. Going on his clothing website i doubt he makes millions from that. Great car work though.

I'd say for a very sizeable majority of the population of this country, it's a dream lifestyle. In fact, being able to afford a 'lifestyle' with prices the way they are is out of reach of average earners.

Still doesn't top this one for utter purity (posted before).

Both videos justify backdating to me. Simply because if you're going to play about with it anyway, why bother paying extra for an original 60's or 70's 911.

Wow, that was a serious ego trip. I guess just a British reaction to an American film though. Fair play to the bloke, he's followed his passion and (for whatever reason) done well. Would that all of us had the courage to do the same.

That silver one with the blue stripe would suit me thanks very much. Very clever, resourceful bloke. Touch of a Steve Coogan character about him but I like Steve Coogan characters (apart from Tony Ferinno).

I'd say that this is already a fashion or a movement, like fixies are in the cycling world. In the US they love to customise their cars and if it's stock we'll it's boring.

Here is another video and this time it's European.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAY5fRglsb4&fea...

Evo magazine featured the singer Porsche a few issues back and the outlaw film was at the Sundance film festival.

But with the cost of car and the conversion it's quite an exclusive few that can afford it.
