If they want to make films then get sponsorship or government funding but asking for 5 dolla via the website is pathetic especially when it promotes wealthy business people, that just doesn’t cut it IMO.

I was referring to Tamir Moscovici (MOS) the film maker being the artist not Magnus. You really do have some mighty chip on that shoulder don't you? Have you thought about therapy if smoking a bit green doesn't appeal? Is it so abhorrent to you that people might want to earn some money from what they do, you know, maybe invest it in better equipment to make the next documentary they shoot even better?

People start out in film making buy making stuff for free and in the old days running small screenings and charging a modest entry fee etc. Now days with the wonders of the internet they put it up for free and ask for a donation if you enjoyed it. You don't have to pay, your choice. Do you think people like Stanley Kubrick walked straight off the street into Hollywood and got given huge sums of money to make films without having to cut his teeth on no budget projects first?

I shall leave this discussion here as no doubt you will now come back with some response about evil multi national corporations and the machinations of the rich and famous all the while quivering under your tin foil hat.
