Scrappies - South Birmingham
Discussion
A friend's car has given up the ghost.
Gear box has gone and the garage have advised it's probably best to just scrap it - repair more than car worth.
03 Nissan Almera, not in the best of condition but recent valid MOT, keys and V5 intact.
What is roughly the going rate so I can give her an idea what to expect and can anyone name a few decent Scrappies in the S. Birmingham area who will collect.
thanks

She/you probably don't want the hassle, but if she has somewhere to keep it off-road it might be worth sticking on ebay 99p start n/r. You will get the scrap value at least, I'm sure a lot more from people who can fit a gearbox cheaply and flip it.
As I said though, it will take a couple of hours time to sort, and you might get a timewaster.

We are all now far more aware of how to do the best for our planet; we understand that our resources are dwindling and even if we are not wholly green, most of us do our bit to separate plastic and paper from the rest of our refuse. Bottle banks have now been around for so long that the very idea of putting glass in with your household waste is a strange and ancient philosophy from another time.
