Infact a 3dr 1.0 Ecoboost Zetec S with 17" alloys and metallic is £15,340........and that includes a £750 Ford customer saving......No way you can bag an ST1 for £14.5k.

Don't quote me on that Fiesta price - I only read it on the Focus RS forum. hehe The guy on there does seem to be 'in the know', though.

Hey Guys,

I am from the Netherlands and we have already the Clio 4.

The normal Clio 4 is already a fantastic car to drive, so much better than the Clio 3!
In real life the Clio 4 looks very good when you compare it with the competition,

One of the big changes between Clio 3 and 4 will be the weight! It will be 100 kilo less than the Clio 3.

All the latest products have been fantastic to to drive. A Megane 265 cornering the "Ring" in almost the same time as an M3!

So if you like it or not, I expect the Clio RS to be the reference not only in his class, but the reference for fun to drive.

Why do the headlamps almost touch the A-pillars?

What next? Headlamps going to the roofline? The C-pillar? Or just a giant pair of headlamps on wheels with some seats in them and a massive Renault badge on the front?

It will be an epic car, and I am sure a few companies will produce parts to tone down the looks.

But why should customers have to change it at all

The car seems to benift spacers, lowering and the right colour (the something people who bought the 200 seem to have done)

22k is a lot of money for a car that still has a cheeky/cheap image..... Wonder if they'll do a cup version for a snip at 18k.... lol

I think RS have said they're trying to keep the weight the same as the outgoing Clio RS. It being 5-dr and with a (presumably) heavier box plus all the new ancilliaries (turbo, intercooler, plumbing), it'd be a good performance if they did.

Lots of people say 200BHP is small fry now. 200BHP is still damm powerful thats 100BHP per litre if it's a 2Litre engine inside a Civic FN2. 30 years ago a V12 Lambo with probably 6 litres could only muster 400 or so BHP.
I think it's a shame the clio is now only a 1.6L but 200BHP is accessable in use on roads for back road blasts. You can reach the limits of the car earlier. People need a bit of perpsective away from headline figures and more about how a car uses the power it has.

Most manufacturers are downsizing. VW have their 1.4 and Ford their 1.0. It's all relative.

I thought I’d bump this thread up, Clio RS is now finished. Just a few remaining units left in the country of the 200/220 variants then that’s it, you’re done.

Incredibly underrated cars (especially in 220 Trophy form) that would have sold lots more with a manual!!

Let’s see what happens with the next one in maybe 2 years or so!

Interesting, I wasn't aware but then we don't do Renaultsport generally so I don't keep abreast on the Renaultsport goings on, any idea why it has been pulled, given current Clio still has a good couple of years life left in it?

There’s an alert on Renault net. Just says that production has ended!
