Great idea, and great start to the new year. I do have 1 observation though; if I won £10k I might put my £10k towards it for a cheap 997 C2. BUT if I ONLY had &10k of my own, are you going to hold my feet to the fire if you award me the £5k prize??

Just sayin' like

Nor me. What if you put in a £10k car but win second prize and you don't have the extra £5k... should you just put in a £5k car etc etc.

Unfortunately, I have no hope of insuring something I really want.

Unless I can split the money between car and insurance wink
Yeah my thoughts exactly, unless Flux is picking up the tab for a year or something?
A pretty cool competition though, might enter later smile

What if I choose a £10k car and only win the £5k prize?

Alternatively do I get £5k cash if I win £10k and have a £5k car?

Just wondering, will enter later when I can (try) think of a witty reason

I might enter my own car. See if I can finally sell it! I might double the price and change the ad to £10k wink

Christ you lot are picky, if you haven't got any money to put in, set the search criteria to £10k, if you only win £5k, then go find a cheaper car!

Insurance might be a bit of a bind but hey ho, if its all too much trouble and if you don't want to win...don't enter!

Are we pasting the search result page link, or the link to a specific car?

edit: Right, I was being a fool. It's the specific car.

I worry about the 'worthy' part of the selection process - is it going to be a bit like the X-Factor auditions where people roll out their bleeding heart stories to try and win a car?

I thought there was one winner who got £10,000 from PH and £5,000 from Adrian Flux totalling £15,000 towards one car confused

This isn't the case, so yes, I'm with everybody else... Do I pick two cars? one at £5,000 and one at £10,000?

Exactly the same for me, I think I've entered about three times now because of that!

Anyway, here's the car I selected -

Entered!

Your date selection drop-down calender puts the date in American format (mm/dd/yy) and your form actually wants it in the correct format of dd/mm/yy, meaning you have to manually change it... hopefully an easy fix!

I think you're allowed to change your mind if you only win £5k.
To be honest, I'm not getting too bogged down in it all. I'll worry about it in the unlikely event that I actually win!!

Hmmm, I assumed it was the actual car. What has everyone else done?

EDIT: Re- reading the rules, it does look like the search as opposed to a specific car. Hopefully they won't mind!

It does not specify a specific car, just a search...hence i have all monaro's under £10k that gets me in one, be it a £10k win or a £5k win (I think i can justify chucking a few grand in if its the latter...and the same again for insurance.......)
