That the trouble with Audi drivers, they see "underlings" rather than other drivers with exactly the same rights and as much need to get anywhere as anyone else.

The A7 just looks unfinished to me, I love the A5 but don't think the extra two doors were successful.
I don't think they do at all. I think on the whole other people, for some bizarre reason, feel inferior and intimidated.

Last year I borrowed my cousins company car, a 3 year old A6 3.0tdi S-line (typical company fare) that was probably worth about £12k. Anyway...as I drove down one of the main roads near me, a guy on the footpath turned around and shouted 'rich bd'!

I don't doubt some Audi owners are up themselves, but I do believe a false perception of this sort of owner being a vulgar, showy bd is also at work here.

I think this is the way to go with RS models. You get the sleek coupe/sedan (RS5/RS7), or the hot wagon (RS4 Avant/RS6 Avant). There's no need for the in-between sedan. In fact, I wish that they had just made the A7 the new A6 and scrapped the regular A6 sedan.

Also - when the quattro lettering is in black, it's way less garish. Actually... it's... sorta cool. See Jalopnik's in-person photos: http://jalopnik.com/5975815/2014-audi-rs7-dear-aud...
And I totally agree with the Jalops - chrome wheels is just not a good look.

Selling lots of cars in China, Russia, Middle East, South America...America...is what most premium car companies are aiming for.

Stating the obvious really, but such comments have become a sort of 'slur' against a manufacturer or vehicle here on PH.

We Brits really are a superior bunch of stuffy twits. wink

The extra might be a sensor for radar guided cruise control or something similar.
Being an Audi, more like a radar guided exocet missile for the car in front.. hehe (All in jest of course!)

Not at all keen on the quattro in the grille but I like the A7 every time I see it and this looks very nice too.

(although for quite a while I completely thrown by there being an A5 too...I thought my mind/eyes were playing tricks on me).

I find the A7 to be a good looking car similar to my reaction when I first viewed the previous gen CLS and the new XJ. Very sleek. Much better in the flesh than the above pics.

I agree - just a real shame we have lost our influence in the motoring world as I believe we are probably one of the top nations for appreciating great motoring engineering and design. Personally I feel the latest generation of high end cars are purely designed with the Far East and Oil Rich states in mind rather than sticking to a brand's design identity - which is a shame.

Sad but true. When I had mine, I found myself looking at other cars with contempt. I remember looking at an Astra once and thinking "You poor, poor man. You just don't get it, do you?"

I sold the car quite quickly after that. smile

Quite like this one though.

It's not bad. Stonking power train, looks fairly standard Audi fare. Quite like it though, hideous chrome wheels aside.

The new BMW M6 looks orders or magnitude more lovely though.

Exactly makes me laugh when people say Audi/BMW et al are moving away from their branding. Because that brand image was built up from something they did in the 80's usually.

Audi and the rest can change however much they like its their business and the business is now not on the shores of blighty.

I for one like the exterior but that interior is DULL... i do like the B&O satellite speakers !!

I love performance cars, but I hate Audis. Just don't understand the appeal at all. The facts and figures are irrelevant because the whole thing is just lethally boring and uninspiring.

Still, I'm glad all the sheeple buy Audis. Audi provides the inverse which allows the concept of "nice" to exist.

I always liked the a7 for its restrained good looks but this would be brilliant without the quattro grill although its a option I think

I love performance cars but hate anything that really isn't a performance car. Whether it be a Mondeo, Vectra, Audi A4 TDi, BMW 320d or whatever it's just dull and uninspiring.

The RS range are very impressive (not as good as the classic when RS actually had a passion and was a collaboration with another top motorsport designer) and to me are performance cars so I love RS's but not Audi's just like I love M Cars and AMG cars.

Partly down to the god awful render. I suspect in the flesh it'll be much nicer - certainly looks it from other pictures.
