Hopefully some ridiculous body kits will be released for those that don't like that front end.

Hey Lexus make this as well please, with a lovely, smooth, NA straight 6.

Looks OK, wouldn't say its anything special but smart enough. Not sure how well it will do in the UK without a diesel though as the petrols won't be economical/ tax friendly enough and the IS300h is likely to be pricey. I see they've finally replaced the 1980s style digital clock, and gone back a few decades to an analogue one instead hehe

Nope. Don't like that front end at all... Just looks weird. I think they said the same thing about the Audi front end though when they extended it downwards.

I dont really like the styling of this one. It reminds me of one of those stupid aftermarket bodykits around 10-15 years ago and had a similar styling.
The 1st and 2nd generation IS were ok, this one is .........

Yes the predator

It might well just be universally accepted that the Toyota group dont make nice looking mainstream vehicles any more. 1 exception being the GT-86

1st gen was the best looking one, imo.

They will sell a boat load of IS300h's, the BIK for this will be low and will be very attractive to company car drivers.

I'm loving the trickle down styling from the LFA, through the GS and now IS. The next IS-F will be a bit of a handful.

Gosh, really? We really are in trouble if this is classed as relatively handsome.

Why do all new cars like this: (a) Look exactly the same? (b) Look totally hideous?

Why can't people actually put something pretty into production? Jag XF and Tesla Model S are the only vaguely recent saloons that don't look like an overstyled dog's dinner, IMO.

If there was an IS-F coupe, or even just a 3 door version it would be much more appealing. Like a proper M3 rival.

FINALLY there is someone with an opinion I can follow !!!

Perhaps there is still some hope...

I just do not understand how a design team comes up with all this awful crap they try to sell us as "NEW".
It is not new!!! It is shamefully UGLY !!! Did you visit design schools for that???
You better get your money back than!
Even the new little BMWs and Mercedes' are just 'decorated' and full of bizarre details.

I absolutely agree! There are the Jaguar XF, the TESLA S and perhaps the new little Cadillac ATS but all the rest in the market is just a sore in the eye. What sad, sad people buy this crap???

Admittedly not the prettiest design ever conceived, but I'd probably have one over the monotonous range of German rival products.

Having owned and liked the look of 1st and 2nd Gen IS's I sadly agree that this one looks horrible (although the interior is nice).

Just read this explanation of the spindle grille, which is up there with the worst marketing BS:

"The F Sport versions get a different grille and front bumper treatment: there are more prominent chrome trim elements and a different mesh pattern is used for the grille. The ‘waistline’ of the spindle-shaped grille is set higher than on the standard models, creating a larger lower grille that can draw in the greater volume of cooling air needed for sportier driving."
