Nice to see another TH1 car in the UK, great colour.
Here's mine, imported at the end of last year.
I grew up with all the Gran Turismos and it's always been about the R32 for me. I've always thought that the R33 is a bit bloated looking and the R34 slightly awkward. Each to their own though.
A good R34 is nearly 3 times the price of an R32 or 33 and I can't see it being 3 times the fun.

Very smart!
I too like the R32 best. Enjoyed reading the article on the Calsonic R32 in EVO.
Friend's boss had one when he was working on the Gti-R program at NME. First one I'd ever seen over here in the flesh

What wheels are those? I want them!
They're Volk Racing TE37; quite possibly the best looking wheel ever.I had a mildly tuned R33 GTR Vspec in midnight purple. It was a great car, loads of presence, awesome engine and unbelievable traction. I have a stripped out and track spec R32 GTST now, which I have to say is much more fun car to drive (even prior to the major mods); it just seems smaller and more nimble than the R33 and even the R32 GTR, which a good friend has let me drive. A highly underrated and capable car.
However, I sure do love the look of the R34 GTR, especially when given a nice set of wheels (Volk TE37's please).
It'd be rude not to have this clip, (skip to about 4mins for the Mine's R34)

Jesus...I've never seen a R34 next to a GTR...that's comical!
I bought a R32 11 years ago and then my dad sent me out to buy a R34 after driving mine. The R34 was an absolute beast and I just loved it for the presence. For driving though...give me my old clunky R32 GTR ta (still own it)
From someone who enjoys his jdm cars and tuning i never never understand why someone who obviously has spent good money on a huge front mount intercooler then proceeds to block the airflow to it with the number plate Jesus...I've never seen a R34 next to a GTR...that's comical!

It would be a 32 for me, then a 34 if i was forced to choose, dont like the shape of the 33, its too rounded for a skyline in my eyes.
I like the photo of the 34 and 35 When the 35 came out there was a photo of all 4 in a line, 32 - 35 and i have scoured around to find it but cant, the difference from the 32> upwards in size is quite staggering

Does anyone have, or have experience of, the N/A i6 cars e.g. 25GT, GT-X,GT-V? I've only ever seen the turbos for sale in the uk. The N/A engines still put out ~200hp, and should make for a fun, rare drive.
Using R33's as an example, I see the R33 GTS (2.0 NA) and R33 GTS25 (2.5 NA) as the Skyline equivalent of the E36 318is and 325i. They have similar performance and weigh about the same so if you are happy with 325i levels of performance then a 25GT should be considered. Non turbo Skylines are no where near as fast as the turbo engined ones but they are not as bad as people say they are.

It's been done in the US:
These look good too (Advan RG2):
Always liked the R33 and R34. This one looks about spot on to me, apart from the carbon boot.

I prefer the looks of the R34 but most of the stuff I've read (Mr Harris included) reckons the R33 is a better car.
Have owned both. Far preferred the R33 in everyway apart from the interior. The steering wheel on the 33 is horrific for starters! Really think the R34 is so so so so over rated! Would never go near another. In my my experience, fragile mechanicals, awful ride, wafts breaks, plasticky interior... I had a 996 turbo at the same time. It was on another planet in every aspect apart from rear seat room and boot space.

Problem is that most individual modifications to a particular car will probably make more of a difference to how it drives than the differences between a standard BCNR33 and a BNR34 - as far as basic cars go, an R34 is an R33 with a stiffer body, a slightly shorter wheelbase, an extra gear, better aero and a bit more power and torque. Worth remembering that the basic package was a decade old when the R34 arrived.I believe this 550 brake AWD is still for sale, RHD and with a cage. Tuff piece of kit:
Quick off the mark.
Autobahn quick.
Pro kit. The list goes on . . .
Thunder.
GoPro. Note the cage.
I believe the livery is currently a bit more . . . decent.
I had a quick blast in this Jap and found it hotter than an SV Lambo.

The previous owner who spent over 20k didn't really care on the actual performance...just how it looked. He specced the finest intercooler, exhaust, air filters etc and then didn't even bother raising the boost. He admitted that the 385mm Ferrari Enzo spec calipers were just because no-one else had them at the time (cost him around 10k in total. 3800 for the brakes and then the 19" TE37's needed to clear them and then the Tein coilovers to allow the wheels to fit). That photo was shortly after purchasing it. Once I had transferred dad's number over to it I got a single row plate made up with motorcycle lettering. In fact, when I sold it and it went back on to original plates I got another small plate made up just because I thought it looked so daft (albeit legal...)
