I seem to remember Setright calling the Mondial T the best handling Ferrari of the, then, current range.
Can't think of anything worse to stain a cars reputation.
Care to elaborate why?
Mainly his arrogant superiority,

such as "oh.....you do wear driving gloves, don't you?", his supposed iconoclast status, strange put downs of cars, " the anti-roll bars were so under damped, but aren't all cars nowadays " set my teeth on edge.

I am talking about the character, rather than the actual person as I never met him, might have been charming person to person.

He often used to vaunt the incredible superiority of the Honda Prelude over anything then current and liked to talk about yaw and technical stuff. Can't say the
Prelude has gone on to become any motoring landmark but hey ho.

There again, everyone lauds Russell Bulgin and I never once read an article, where his style of writing didn't irk me, so I tended to skip his articles more than I read them.

I really like my 85 QV Cabriolet. I've had it 3 years now and engine seems pretty bullet proof. Electrics did take a bit of work and will probably always be a bit weak and being one of only 2 UK RHD's in white it is a bit of an acquired taste.

As for future investment, who knows. The media have been talking them up a bit in recent years but it may be a while before they take off.

Apart from the Valeo models (clutchless semi-auto's), the QV Cabriolet is the rarest on UK roads with only 24 being officially imported.
