Having driven his car I don't feel it's underpowered (excuse earlier posts before id driven it), in fact it feels perfectly balanced, I don both with the traction control and keep it in sport mode.
That's good to hear.

I've got the 86 for the next week on a road test....pretty much spent every opportunity I could get today in the car as it makes me smile so much. Anyhow, I digress, having also owned an S2000 the 86 gear box reminds me of the Honda, bloody fantastic!
Good stuff.

How can this heresy be so?! Some other cars have better road test 0-100km/h times, apparently. Surely the GT86 is dangerously under-powered (for the ego)? wink

Lol, talk from a lot of people who havn't driven the car is cheap....to them i bite my thumb sir!

As i've alluded, once you're sitting in it and hustling it along it's got a fine amount of power which works in harmony with the chasis and suspension set up on the road version. This is my my humble opinion of course and like i say, i too was criticising the car openly before i drove it.

I could go into all the other bits that are making me fall in love with this car but it would spoil my article! wink

Only thing i don't like is the engine note.....bit too cat trying to roar like a lion.

Still not driven the 86 yet, but that kind of backs up my 'RWD Integra Type R' prediction about how it will be too drive.

That's not a bad comparison and it does rev to 9k, no VTEC Yo! though! And the growly little engine is actually starting to grow on me!

I went to see it again today. It's really well packaged and finished. It's just right. I'll be test driving it soon I guess. I see it as a mini-Cayman that Porsche will obviously never make.
