This Alfa looks absoloutely beautiful, if it drives reasonably well it would be a tough call between it and the new Boxster/Cayman

If those figures are correct, after all this speculation and talk of engine trickery and 300bhp from a 1.8, basically they've just dropped in the unit from the Giulietta QV in the same state of tune.

I think it actually looks a bit gawky in those pictures. I am on the waiting list for one, but at that price will wait for a used one in a few years.
I am sure that it is the new alloy, Multi-Air 1750 engine that's going into it and this is the initial model in the range. There is also a race version for the track, a Stradale version of this with around 250 bhp and a Spider coming too.

Personally I think it is a stunning thing and can't wait to drive one. Just hope I fit a bit better than I do in an Elise/Exige!

Too short and stubby looking. Needs to be £35k to sell.
And that will probably affect stability at very high speeds. £35k is probably the right price point.

Really good looking and good figures. Imagine the grip/traction that it will generate.

I still don't understand why the article still refers to the concept. It was never a concept in the first place but clearly a tooled-up production ready car slightly tweaked to look like a concept, oldest trick in the book.

The question for me is, will it be a hardcore track toy like the elise or a stylish sports car like a porsche or bmw z4. There is nothing wrong with alfa making a 2 seater sports car for 50k so long as it can at least match the competition. My worry is that they wont give it an interior of a 50k sports car and wont give it a lotus elise price tag either.

250hp and 950 kilos has got my interest. I will reserve my judgement until I see one in the metal and hope this will live up to my expectations.

This will do wonders for the rare Alfa dealerships.... but unlike the 8C I can't get excited by it.
Mito, Giletta and 4C
What thety need to do is bring the 159 back...or replace it with something just as/more beautiful.
I don't think Porsche would be at all concerned with this though...

Fabulous, as mentioned let's hope the build quality is there if it is both Lotus and Porsche won't be very happy.

It has exactly the same styling flaw as the Elise - it looks too short and stubby for its other dimensions. In fact, it someone had covered up the badges and told me that was the mk3 Elise, I would have had no reason to doubt them - it looks extremely similar.

I salute them for the idea, but to my eye both the looks and the technical stats look flawed.

That's not pretty! What a half arsed design. Generic mid-engined thing with an alfa face - dull. 950kgs??!! Grow up! Absolute bks! At that weight there's no way it could compete with the Cayman's all round greatness - it'd be a toy and no-one would buy it. 1400kgs. And is it 4 cylinder? Right. Why on earth would anyone want this over a better looking, better sounding, (almost certainly) better driving Cayman??

I don't even think these are official pictures - they're terrible!

Oh dear...
Usual comments... too squashed up, cheap mirrors, etc
Should be £35K to sell
Why aren't you all working for Alfa/Fiat as you seem to know more than they do....

I think it is fantastic - I would happily sell the esprit for one of these. I do hope they keep the wacky interior too.

Building a mid engined car with a carbon tub was never going to be that cheap.
