why cant they name the urus something better too, yeah as far as suvs go id doesnt look too bad and im assuming urus means something as is the tradition. should of called it Diemos. now that would be far more fitting or mars to suit the red colour.

Yawn..... lets make some money by jumping on the fking stupid SUV bandwagon or we can pontificate about making a rival for the daft panamerra. Not suprised, not impressed and and not remotely interested. (despite the fact I've just posted i know).
Please make a Countach or diablo MK2 then that'll be interesting.
In fairness, Lamorghini is what is called a business. Lamborghini does not exist to make big loud cars purely to entertain people who have no intention of buying them. Please make a Countach or diablo MK2 then that'll be interesting.
They are a business with shareholders and employees they are responsible to, and yet somehow the concept of them attempting to make a profit is objectionable....

Oops sorry i thought that was their USP being bonkers by making big loud shouty cars and a bit different to the likes of Ferrari and Porsche etc. Obviously not they want a slice of the Chelsea tractor market too.If they feel that's how they want to make their money then fine by me but i think that damages their appeal and their character if they do the same as everyone else. Bently are obviously thinking the rich mums school run is a great thing to cash in too.
I see what some people are saying about devaluing the brand, which is very easy to say when you have an emotional attachment, like the 1/18 Diablo I have. But it isn't our brand - once again, who am I, someone who will never be in a position I wouldn't have thought, to buy an Aventador, to tell them their brand is less valuable? Especially if an SUV sells like hot cakes. And it will.
Lamborghini have a long history of producing outrageous vehicles, so if they've got 'something truly extraordinary' in the wings, well I'm going to take a long shot:
A front-engined 2+2 GT of huge proportions, more than 5 metres long, 2+ tons, and packing a V12 of at least 10 litres and 1000bhp. And a 300 litre fuel tank!

I also "created" this last year as the car I thought Lamborghini should launch, basically a pillar less 2+2 coupe :
Ahem, sorry to tell you this, but that's a stretched Corvette, chap. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Can't find any formal figures for the FF, but it is credited with helping Ferrari's continuing sales growth. I know that it was up to an 18 month wait on pre-sales, but that is old information now.
Suffice to say, it's doing well.
Edited for spelling train crash

There was someone over in the FML&B section not so long back asking where all the "cheap" second hand ones were, the response was, there were none and the car seemed to be holding its value very well due to its popularity.
