Real racing pedigree, big cult following, beautiful engine and there aren't many decent ones left now. These will command huge money in years to come as they're creeping up and up at the moment.

Valid observations Jonah, but my Cerb in my last year of ownership only cover 1200 miles, had one service and was hardly difficult financially.

I only sold it because a TVR Cerbera should NEVER be a garage queen in my opinion and every time I walked past it, I felt guilty!

Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.3-16. You won't have to wait five years for a good, manual transmission example to double in value.

BMW Z3 M-Coupé. I can't understand why these aren't £30k.

Mercedes-Benz 500 SL (r129). Early, low mileage examples in pristine order are starting to rise in value after a decade in the doldrums.

Z3 - Can't see the attraction myself. I suspect there's a significant number of the proletariat that agree with me hence they're not £30k

500Sl - is that the 1989 onward one? Hateful uninvolving thing to drive with zero character if so. Can't see the attraction there either, ugly as sin too. Never be the classic the stack light drop top was/is.

This is a lovely high mileage Porker that I'd be interested in if I was in the market for a classic.

Really?

For a very rare borderline supercar with a BMW motorsport V12

Frankly it's a bargain!

with the oil supply dwindling, I probably didn't take in to account if there will be a huge market in 20 years time for petrol cars.
Repeat the same lie often enough and people believe it. I remember them saying when I was 5 that the oil supplies would run out in 10 to 15 years time. That was 38 years ago.......

Maserati Biturbo.

Very rare to get a good one these days.

Alternatively a Maserati 3200 GT or 4500 GT?

Audi RS4 B5. Great car, timeless looks, Cosworth engine, only 400 originally brought into the UK.

I recently saw someone had started a thread with a quattroporte in for circa 17k surely that would be the better buy? But with such high costs of maintaining and servicing would people be in the market for one in say 15 yrs? Hoping FIAT don't shut it down :P

Would an Audi RS2 fall into budget? Failing that, early 4 headlight UR Quattro.

And?

This surely means they will be more likely to appreciate as they get even older and rarer. Which was the point of the OP's post, I think.
