What are they then?
Not the Exige V6 as it isn't really a useable everyday car other than for the very committed.
Thats why Chris Harris clearly excluded the exige s v6, when he said that the new cayman has no rival in its class: being BMW Z4, Audi TT, SLK, etcNot the Exige V6 as it isn't really a useable everyday car other than for the very committed.
Exige rivals against more hardcore racers like gt3, m3 GTS maybe cayman r in the future (will be interesting comparo)
really like the looks of the new cayman. i just hope they have made the interior a little bigger than the old one. i went to buy one and couldnt get comfortable in it being 6'4" which was gutting so i ended up getting a scirocco r instead. heres hoping in a few years i trade it in to get one of these and i actually fit

Good point.Exige rivals against more hardcore racers like gt3, m3 GTS maybe cayman r in the future (will be interesting comparo)
Iris strange to me that no car maker seems to want to compete with Porsche.
The Exige is a bit too hardcore. The Z4 and TT are not hardcore enough or good enough.
Which leaves the Cayman.
Lotus should be there but they made a bit of a horlicks of selling Evoras so Porsche appear to have it all to themselves.

Hi Cyman. I'm only 6' but there was plenty of room for a hat above my head if I'd wanted to wear one and I didn't have the seat all the way back or the wheel all the way forward when I took a Cayman and S out for a test drive on Wednesday. I'm a Scirocco R driver at the moment and I'm about to trade it in for a new 2.7 Cayman. Getting down into the Caymans (Caymen?) took a bit of getting used to and I had thought the Roc was low to the ground.RobRain said:

My suggestion: Have a good drive of the "S" before you part with your money. I decided to avoid the expensive options list and spent my money on a base model of the quicker car instead. You really don't need the expensive stuff on that gold-plated options list.My friend has just bought a brand new Boxster.
It is one of the best looking cars I have seen in the metal, really nice with perfect proportions.
I think Porsche have a great lineup of cars in the sectors they compete in at the moment, but then I'm a fan of the Panamera too.
The new Cayman looks great IMO.
