Shame McLaren could not do more to the interior of the P1, it just looks dismal in there. But the car has some impressive performance, dam!

Reminds me of a girlfriend I had once, stunningly hot body, amazing performance, looked fabulous in yellow, nose like a snowplough.

Partially agreed. Arial shot is definitely the best view. However, I wouldnt go as far as too say that the rest is ugly - just different? It may have the old "Chris Bangle" effect and grow on you over time. Probably help once it's been seen in the flesh....
for some reason this view of sports, super and hyper cars always reminds me of micro machines

I always think it's thoroughly daft that journalists so love taking pictures of cars from ground level - personally I don't lie on the floor to look at cars very often.

They can and will do more to satisfy any customer's request. This is the business interior for the serious driver to focus on the tasks at hand. If someone wants to dress it up McLaren will have any number of ways to do so to suit your needs.

You do realise perspective owners can add colour (or whatever alse they want) to the interior as part of the customisation/speccing of the car. readit

£324 million pounds worth of P1's - sounds a lot doesn't it!

performance is fantastic, but the main thing I'm interested in is how it manages that and only kicks out 200g/km of CO2... what's the hybrid equivalent MPG I wonder...

+ all the F70s to sell, the 918s, the Zondas, and the 'Eggs, all at similar prices. I know a recession tends to favour the high end market, but even so. That's a lot of cars for a very small pool of people.

Despite the fact they are utterly pointless as far as usability is concerned I have always been a huge fan of hypercars.

They are the gods of automotive car engineering and I love them.

Having said that the McLaren P1 has left me a bit cold. I have a strong feeling it will be trounced by Ferrari in nearly every conceivable way.

Maybe you prefer some tinsel to brighten it up a bit ? not every body wants polished chrome and leather straps and buckles like the pagini, this is made by a proper motorsport firm minimalist less can sometimes be more bit like comparing some cheap porn star to catherine zeta jones..........

It's a stunning car, truly wonderful with staggering figures.

But I can't help but wonder, what makesit 866,000 GBP. It seems like we've arrived in the era of true out of reach supercars. All that price and really it's not for the tech or the driving thrills, it's for the fact they're only making 375 and they'll all be sold out on pre-order.

I think I'd sooner have 5 MP4-12C's or the equivalent amount.
