Hey ho, I'm sure it's super rapid but if I wanted all the techy goodies I'd buy a Turbo. It's not really a GT3 anymore...

Soo much want!!

Did I read that correctly, that you can use the gear stick like a sequential shifter? That'll feel like a proper Cup Car Racer!
As long as its the proper way round. Ie back to go up and forward to go down!

The presence of DFI is good news for their racing efforts in GTE, and I think shows that fioran0 did indeed misinterpret the GTE regs when it comes to direct injection (ie, you are allowed it on your race car if you have it on the road-going model).

You can do that on my S3, and on my old Polo GTI, so I can't see why you couldn't on this. It's a lot better to use the paddles imo.

Don't sequential shifters still rely on the driver using a foot clutch as oppose to an automatic clutch??

In my Euro Millions fantasy garage, along with a expensive list of car's I'd want in my collection, the 911 GT3 was at the top of the list as my weekend toy.

However, due to PDK this has now been deleted. Why, oh why Porche have you done this ????????????

Auto only was the reason I went for a manual R8 rather than the Auto only GT-R.

I prefer to drive my cars. I couldn't give a monkey's if an Auto version can lap 1.2 seconds faster. I WANT A MANUAL !!!!

I ENJOY CHANGING GEARS IN A MANUAL !!!!!

At least they could have given us a choice rather than "This is it"

Sorry but yes so much want from me too!

I would buy it in a heart beat if I had the cash!

Sadly I would need to get rid of my current pdk 4 s and my Cateham r500 too!

Not going to happen any time soon for me then!

Still on my wish list though!

Most race boxes are flat up shifts and clutch on the way down iirc

Great tech, well done for carrying on with an N/A lump. Nice to see that they now take the GTR seriously, tech wars are good things.

What I can't understand is why they didn't price it at £99,500 or £99,999 just to keep it in that sub 100k mental barrier?

This is not a true gt3 no manual gearbox option is terrible.
The whole point of a gt3 is the driver input should be max.

All the great 911s are the one's that are a bit harder to master &
therefore more fulfilling when you do learn how to drive them properly..

Going quicker than the last model around the ring isn't everything
enjoying it more than the last one is..

It does look immense tho'

My perfect car now officially exists. The saving starts here.

It's utterly perfect in every way for me, barring maybe the centre locks unless Porsche have sorted the issues out that plagued the 997.2 cars. That aside, this is a proper lust car.

Don't understand all the clamour for a manual box, the pdk box is fantastic in every way.
Lazy driving if your in traffic, faster lap times and rapid gear changes.

Surely the most fun is had in gear than changing them..

Something visceral about heel toe and stirring the box, involvement and all that.
