I've misplaced the contract, wasn't expecting to have to do a service at all but the miles have crept up considerably. I was hoping someone had a similar situation with a quick answer.
We can't tell you. Your contract might be different, there is no blanket rule.Shambler said:

If it's Audi Finance then it'll say you need to have it done at a dealer.Maybe they would waive that in view of the distance.
If you're clocking up the miles, then surely some of those journeys must take you near a dealer? You could wait while it's done - doesn't take long.

Hmm. Another thought for the mix, I'm not sure it is as clear cut as I first thought. The block exemption rule came in some years back to deal with part of this issue and encourage post sale servicing competition. If you owned the vehicle, it certainly would apply - providing it was serviced to spec and with Audi parts, it can't be mandated to be an Audi dealer and maintain warranty.

I know it applies to private ownership (your car, owned outright) - what I don't know is if a finance contract can over-ride that or if that would be viewed as an unfair term.

Servicing has to be carried out by an Authorised Audi centre. Phoned local Audi dealer and quoted £230, car was taken on 3+23 agreement 6000 pa
On a 2yr deal it was always going to need servicing then - you'd hit the time limit even if the type of use (short journeys) didn't cause it to ask for a service earlier. If it's a massive inconvenience to take it, then find out the penalty for not getting it done. It may not be that bad.
