I really want one! What a completely awesome waste of money!

If you are going to drive from London to Cape Town, might as well do it in style.

I'm fairly sure I could point it at some Berkshire potholes that would stump it smile

Definitely one for the lottery garage, along with the C1 test to drive it.

Needs to enter the Dakar.

That is just brilliant so brilliant i need one in my life!!!

with road tires i wonder how fast it could go??
Knocking on for 150 i bet but would be very very scary at those speeds!
I agree i think a nice wide bit of road would be needed for that!

You're hopeful. Auto car listed it at £350K.

Given that the 4x4 G63 is £123,140 then I think it's fairly safe to say the 6x6 will be over £100K. Multiply it by 4 and you'll probably be closer.

Guess I'm the only person that thinks this is a pile of steaming dog ste then?
Wet dream about it all you like, I wager the number of PHers that actually buy one could be counted on a fingerless hand.
Totally useless unless you are a despot who runs and owns a small country.

It's epicly cool, although I wish they'd shown some stuff in the video that marks it out above a normal G. All of the sand driving and (frankly rather pathetic) rock crawl could be done by a normal G Wagon on all seasons!

Anyone notice the lack of driver???

Especially up the 45 degree bit, no driver can be seen.

CGI?
Try pausing at 1:44... You can clearly see the driver's arm holding the steering wheel

Useless and impractical. Perfect for a nice drive in Knightsbridge though.

I love it!

150mph on portal axles would be a first !! As the article says it is limited to 100mph, but not because of the tyres its because of the style of axle.

Portal axles increase ground clearance and increase torque at the wheels but because of their reduced gearing the rest of the drive train has to spin faster than it normally would and so top speed is reduced.

In my country, we remove your head for such heretical outbursts.

That could be true for the McLaren P1, the Porsche 918 and LaFerrari - does that mean we shouldn't discuss them either?

I see i didnt know that about portals, i suppose that is because of the bits that drop the wheels at the end of the axles(dont know the technical term sorry!) ???

At £350k retail, I'd rather have a Bowler Wildcat, a 6x6 Ural 4320, a used 458, and might even squeeze in a BAC mono. No contest.
