I'm surprised it's C-Class size (they all look big to me anyway!).

One bit of information surprised me:

"MPG: 67.2- 62.7 (depending on wheel size)"

So your choice of wheel can potentially add another 7% to your fuel economy?
I think the new C Class is due next year, happy to be corrected though smile

This car will be a huge sales success I think will literally see these littered across every company car park in the land as it does seem a lot of car for the money when you think a standard 150bhp golf se is now nearly 24k!

I'd suggest it's more comparable with an upper range Passat than the Golf, despite the "Posh Golf" comment.

The 'tablet' display looks terribly out of place and a bit too '3rd party mount' for my liking. Should have been more neatly integrated or even just have a proper iPad Mini / Nexus 7 / MB branded Android tablet that could be removed.
This one thing puts me off the whole car. I hope when the new C Class comes out it follows the design of the E Classes interior.

I really like this and not normally fan of Mercs. Being 29 I can honestly say I've never set foot in a Merc showrooom but after seeing the new A class at Goodwood last year and this new CLA, I'd be tempted by one.

Be interested to know the price of the car pictured. AMG kit, nav, leather, memory seats, what looks to be a 'frozen' paint effect. Probably wouldn't get much change from £40k I'm guessing...

Yeah, but you reach your destination a little quicker.

Shame its FWD. This new A class is going to bring mercedes into young peoples minds, right now all this demographic wants is Audi or BMW, this should align Mercedes with these customers again and make the brand as a whole more appealing.

Im 23 and have never seen the appeal of mercedes other than Uber GT's i.e. the SL Range but this A class has really grabbed my attention and when I come to replace my car will be in contention against the BMW alternative.

I'm really not sure whether I like this or not, reserve judgement until I see one on the road. Interior looks great bar the daft screen.

I see they have pegged the torque back from the 295lb ft 220 Cdi engine in the C and E Class. I imagine due to it being wrong wheel drive.

Is it really a dual clutch 'box?

I really like the look of that. I think it will sell very well.

The fact that its FWD wouldn't bother me at all.

The tablet really does look like an after thought.

Look's like it's missing a rear wing.

I hate to be a RWD snob, but there are already loads of FWD cars I'm not interested in, and it seems a shame that this is one of them, because I think it's pretty.

Handsome although the rear looks oddly under-wheeled as the amount of panelwork between the top of the arch and the bottom of the C-pillar lends it an odd gait. Looks like it would be a good fleet alternative to the standard issue 318D/320D/A4/Golf though.

Pretty nice, but the fact the bonnet doesn't open at the front would annoy me terribly.

Looks great from the front, but the back looks much more squashed somehow.

Still, it's nice to see something interesting in this market and I hope it does well. Even the interior seems pretty funky.

Reasonable looks but really, would I spend my own cash on it? No, this is yet another fleet car for company car drivers, nothing to be excited by. The fact that is FWD doesn't bother me too much but the fact it is a Merc is a real worry: have you seen the state of 2000-2005my cars? Rust, electrical faults, horrible. One for the metalic silver German bage snobs this one.

I think it may actually be fractionally longer and wider than a C class. But you get less interior space due to its shape/styling. It means the next C class is going to be much bigger than the current one.

In two minds about this car. Gearbox sounds like it might annoy me. Wonder what it is like to the 8 speed in the 1 series/3 series and all other cars that it is in? I was impressed by that so much so that I would consider an auto for the first time.

What's the rear seat design like? Any pictures? Does it have 3 rear seats or 2 like that in the C & E Coupe and CLS.
