looks fab, who'd pick a golf over one of these?
Or a 1 series, or an A3 - plenty of people will fancy one as a company car.
I'm chopping mine in this year... was thinking of trading down to a Golf to save a bit of tax, but if this has similar BIK then it certainly looks more interesting than Golf/A3 etc.

Anyone know what the 0-100mph is, about 11 sec?

I have a cla 220d AMG Sport and must admit it has proved to be a brilliant car.

Modern looking and very responsive when being driven

Mercedes needed this to modernise their image.

I have to admit after having a look round one of these in person its actually quite a smart looking little thing. Reminds me a bit of the E60 5-series which looked bulbous and hideous in the initial pictures but the design works surprisingly well on the road. I guess that means it should age well but we'll see.

I don't see why it matters that it's FWD.
If you want a car to travel motorways and be confident it will still work in snow then FWD is perfect.
Most cars of this type are never driven hard and as long as they handle competently that's all that matters. They are tools to do a job.

Time to change my car, so I went to look at these today.

Looking at a Manual C180 Sport ~£28k, so no decrease in the BIK for me over my A4 really.

There is no room in the back, the boot has a funny shape so loading could be a pain, the screen on the dash is horriblet. It looks like an ebay £50 android tablet, but worse, tacked on as an afterthought. I REALLY wanted to like it, but I can't justify the looks over the spec of the Golf.

I also viewed a Golf GT 1.4tfsi DSG - better spec, adaptive cruise £~25k, room in the back, liked the design of the dash better, it has the gearbox I want.

I'm going for the golf - the merc looks lovely but I couldn't live with it. I think that crappy screen, and the price:spec ratio will be a dealbreaker for many

I saw one on the road last week. In the pictures it looks quite pretty; in the flesh I thought it a horribly proportioned monstrosity waiting to be killed by fire.

I really like the CLA, well, the exterior. I'm not too sure about the interior as the seats look like they might be uncomfortable and the screen on the dash looks out of place.
