Being a Fiesta ST, my car isnt a sleeper, but its quick enough that the Tesla Model 3 Driver who was trolling me a bit was wondering why he hadn't pulled away biggrin We were rolling as wouldn't stand a cat in hells chance from a standstill.

Said Dual Motor on the back, so guessing its the normal one, think the Performance one would have been quite a bit quicker. Had a look and they are 346 bhp, mines reputedly just over 300 but a load lighter, but obviously no gearchanges for the Tesla and instant torque.
That'll be the LR model - inbetween the standard and the performance. smile

Is always a bit worrying when you see someone go big power and standard brakes on a non performance car.

I’ve got just over 500bhp in my Impreza and have upgraded to big discs and AP racing 6 pots. I saw the same model with similar power for sale the other day on the original brakes.
They couldn’t cope with the abuse as standard let alone regular stops from much higher speeds
Not saying I would go for 800bhp on 9" discs or something, but the bit in bold is surely relevant: the only time I've ever experienced brake fade was in a standard car with the "one down from the turbo nutter version" factory brakes and factory power.
The reason was that I was hoofing it from roundabout to roundabout at the time, basically max throttle followed by heavy braking, multiple times, in a car that was really intended for autobahn cruising rather than hard driving. User error.

For most use cases, standard brakes are overkill anyway as you can stop from VMax at the limit of tyre grip. Yes, uprating brakes is an indicator that someone hasn't just thrown £500 at their nearest remap outfit, but it is far from necessary if your use case for the extra power is to stop your overtake being baulked or to hoof down sliproads.

It’s a civic so I am always assuming it’s a bog standard engine with an exhaust and wheels done by a 18 year old. Not 700bhp!

The wheels will trigger some people on here, but that counts for me. civics are economy cars, you would not expect one to smoke a Gallardo.

The wheels don’t say 700bhp, it’s brilliant.

Unless it’s driven by a goon who flings his arm about the car every time he changes gear.

No, but they do make you look twice. Then you notice the other things, is that splitter std, the polished intercooler pipes, bigger exhaust, brakes, NACA duct, etc. As said, not 700bhp worth though.

I think it's great though and only a few tweaks away from a true sleeper. Link to YouTube video of it -

If you pull along side that in your 335d (mapped) you would be very shocked when it walked away from you. 100% sleeper.

The body is standard VTI-S accept the bonnet duct.

I very much consider it a sleeper exactly how it is, if it were mine I'd swap the wheels as I'm a tiny bit bored of seeing them on Hondas.

That is 100% sleeper. If you saw it as a petrolhead you'd simply think cherished 'classic'. If you saw it as a none petrolhead you just think 'some old small car'

What an awesome thing. It must be ~210HP? What was the 5 Turbo by comparison?

I had a GT turbo with a stripped interior and the boost turned up a bit, probably 160ish horsepower and it was very quick. They were, IRC, about 800kg? I'm pretty sure they're made of old biscuit tins and cardboard

I want that car quite badly.
