That 'other' thread does have the word rarities in the title and they're often posted too.

I was in Dalston/Hackney at the weekend and saw 3 BMW 2002s in an hour. They appear to be more common than late model Ford Fiestas...

I stopped at a garage for a paper this morning and a young lad with a bit of a teddy boy hairstyle was putting some air in the tyres of his Austin A35..

A refreshing sight.

I saw a pre-facelift Rover 800 recently. I hadn't seen one for a long time.. I'll take a photo next time I see something so rare.

I've seen one too recently, but in white. Interesting looking and an instant classic IMO.

Enjoy it while you can, the banger racing fraternity are still hoovering these up, along with the MK1 coupe's Rover P5's and early Jag XJ's - by means fair or (allegedly) foul.

Last saw one here on the Isle of Man a couple of years ago. We don't have MOT's or any form of annual vehicle check over here so it helps to keep some oldies going longer than they may have done on "the adjacent isle". That said, the sea air isn't the kindest environment for iffy 1970's tin biglaugh

Regularly see Renault 19's, Citroen AX's and MK1 Micras buzzing round the island along with a couple of Merc W123 estates that wouldn't past muster in Timbuktu.

Also seems to be a sanctuary for 1970's Civics though my favourite has to be the Vanden Plas Allegro which can be found in Ramsey.
