Wow !

Best car advert in decade's.

Surely no one can find reason to moan about that one.

I came across that in the privacy of my own home on Wednesday night having chanced upon it after watching the Monkey Drive tuned S4 versus RS4 feature.

What a lethal combination, that throaty V10 and slick S-Tronic transmission.

Can imagine what it would be like in the cinema biggrin

The dream/long term goal is to have an R8 V10 Plus as a daily within the next 7 - 10 years biggrin

Great idea for an advert, although it's a bit sad they had to take the exhausts off to get it to sound that good.

Anyway, this lowly 4pot has a lot more character: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QC9TtzDahRE

Each to their own...but are you sure your on the right website??

Surely even taking into account personal tastes, then as someone who likes cars the sound of a V10 at full chat is appealing!

Lovely ,I know the R8 is paddle shift but I was still pressing both feet on the gear changes.

confused Indeed!

Do you think your cars sound good, out of interest?

No doubt with the exhausts on it will sound like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8B7pqLAkQQ

Are the rules for cinema ads different? Thought they weren't allowed to show revving engines or anything that suggests speed or fun from driving?

Heard that's why the GT86 ads got pulled as it was suggested driving in an exuberant manner was fun - st bunch of rules I know

Aye definitely true, a couple of people complained and then it got pulled.

No idea if cinemas have the same rules but I'm hoping that they can show this on TV at 7:55 every morning just before I leave for work. I need something to cheer me up.

V10's are great. That one was just a dull drone though.

Saw it in the cinema the other day, thought it was great. Although if it's anything to go by, I don't think the clientele that frequent the cinemas nowadays are the type who spend £90k on a car, so it might be wasted in there, I'd be amazed if most of them even paid to get into the cinema itself. Sounds great in there though biggrin

Thats brilliant.

I still prefer this - the visuals are good but the sound is superb.

Much as I love Audi, I'd rather have a Gallardo.

to be honest I do like R8`s but its not my favourite car! I just loved the noise, I loved the clever way the advert was done to appeal to us car nuts and generally the popping and banging on the downshifts and that big rev flare right at the very end!

No doubt it has no silencers, no doubt it sounds maybe a bit weird in some gears and no doubt there are cars i`d rather have for the money as I hate flappy paddles etc I like a good manual thanks but..

I just wanted to share a very well done advert and a fantastic noise!

Awesome sauce.

But this is even better (I know its a race car though...and it only sounds epic when viewed from the grandstand)
