SUPERCAR INSURANCE - ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all well. I've been using PH for years but only just joined the forums as I am in need of some advice regarding supercar insuarnce.

Am looking to purchase a 2012 McLaren 12C but I can't get any insuarnce. I've tried to get a few quotes from specialist companies but they all keep saying the same thing - that they can't insure me because I have no previous experience of owning/driving a supercar.

I'm 31 years old, a safe driver, clean license and never had any points for anything. I've been a named driver on our own trade policy which has 5 years no claims bonus. My trade insurance broker won't let me increase the indemnity on my trade policy to cover the McLaren so a seperate policy is my only option.

Is anybody able to help out with some good advice? Would be much appreciated

This will get pushed off the first page of general gassing very quickly.
I would suggest you post it in the ~"Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini & Bugatti" section, where people will have experience of getting around this sort of problem.
