This is currently parked opposite my house:

I don't think I have ever seen a CX in the wild let alone a GTI turbo. I think the wheels are off an XM though?

Lovely, , it's a shame they're so rare these days.

Wheels are Alfa since they share a fairly rare stud pattern.

Thank god I was born in the nineties and missed that horrible car, thats possible the ugliest car ive ever seen, even the interior, I mean look at the steering wheel.

no wonder they are rare.....

And by the way, no I am not trolling, I am deadly serious.

so they are. I should have noticed that as I own an alfa myself

I was quite surprised at the size of this thing in real life. It's a big old barge

Awesome spot OP. Remember seeing a 6 wheel one of these at a car show with a glider on a trailer. I think it had been converted back to a car from a commercial version of the CX?

The XM was pretty cool too in a random french way.

There's just no accounting for taste wink

I loved these things, I always wanted one but the closest I came was a BX which just wasn't the same.

A BX? Still look up to you- my mum had a Visa Gti.

My dad had an immaculate 22 TRS just before he died and it drove like a dream, kind of wish I'd kept it, but I don't think it would have liked 20 years of living outside. frown

I passed one of these on the motorway the other day, couldn't believe how awsome it looked next to sea of miserable euroboxes around it.

A quick gander at wikipedia suggests the 6 wheelers actually started life as a normal car but were modified to 6 wheeled 'loadrunner' spec by a company called Tissier.

Yep, looks like they were made to transport newspapers overnight around france.

Found it on youtube, search for "joyofcx". The trailer is actually a caravan made from a light aircraft fuselage.

Just beautiful!

Can you not run across the road and ask whether he/she wants to sell it??

I was going to if I had seen the owner when I was out there, however no one was around and I can't quite muster the courage to go knocking on doors to find out to whom it belongs.

That is a big silver heap.....of French turbo win.

So effortlessly stupid. Yet so cool.

It's possibly even more reliable then your Alfa mate....;)

You probably feel sorry for me too, although I wasn't born in the nineties. I don't think old French cars are cool.
