Thank god I was born in the nineties and missed that horrible car, thats possible the ugliest car ive ever seen, even the interior, I mean look at the steering wheel.

no wonder they are rare.....

And by the way, no I am not trolling, I am deadly serious.
You have much to learn young grasshopper. wink

The last of the more interesting Citroens IMO. I commend the company for resisting being conventional for as long as possible, before succumbing to the usual boring suspension/chassis setup used by everybody else.

To be honest, I tend to agree here. I was around in the 80s and interested enough in cars to notice Citroens and I can't see the visual appeal either. I suppose compared to some contemporary competition it's quite sleek and definately distinctive. But so was Grace Jones, and she wasn't fit. A car with character and charm I think, but to my eyes not a looker.

There are many who don't see it, but I genuinely find it a gorgeous car. As I see it there have been few large saloons as proportionally resolved and once looking closer at the details it becomes ever more enchanting.:

I didn't think I could afford one, but when I saw this one I simply had to. As much art as it is car. [/mawkish]

Sorry, you can add me to the 'unconverted'. Personally I'd rather have a mild STI... I'd image the Citroen would be a good preventative measure to take against the aforementioned however.

Sorry a bit O/T but I had to quote you on this. I had a Visa GTi as my first car and I rarely find anyone who has heard of them, let alone owned one.
I thought it was a rapid little thing and when pressing on it felt like it would stand a crash only slightly better than a damp cardboard box. Which just added to the excitement!

You're mum didn't drive a silver C reg one did she? scratchchin

Just out of interest, what are the opinions of this old Citroen from the younger viewers? smile

Strange you should mention her. Fast forward to about 1.54 (although I like the whole tune wink). smile

Needs a better shot:

I don't know if I count as younger, but unsurprisingly I'm keen.

A red convertible no less, hastily part exed for a sodding LNA of all things.
The group b version was great. In fairness, the cabrio was not!

Good spot, sir. After yesterday's Celica Supra adbreak, it seems old Grace would pop up to endorse any old 80s car that came along.

Forgive my ignorance/ if this has already been asked, but err how do you take the rear wheels off? Probably a daft question.

so they are. I should have noticed that as I own an alfa myself
Just in case you're wondering why the swap - the standard wheels are metric sized, so are an absolute bugger to get tyres for.
