If you don't get it you'll never get it but you cannot draw conclusions about other areas of peoples lives simply by their car !

People saying that to some people a car is just a means of getting from A to B - fair point, but why would you have an Audi, then? Get a second-hand Fiesta.

I don't like 'phones, hence I only have one that cost a fiver.

You can assume they're reckless enough to throw thousands away by abusing what is generally their 2nd-most expensive asset.

You don't have to baby them, but carelessly abusing them and then moaning about the expense of having to repair/replace them gets old!

No, not really. You can't assume anything of the kind. Just because you consider it in that way doesn't mean they do. And again, who gives a toss how other people look after their cars?

Surely an Audi would ideally fit that brief. Pluis you get to pose whilst doing it with bad-ass blinky lights and stuff.

Anyway it's all down to priorities and preferences. Some people use a dirty or battered car as a display of wealth. To illustrate the fact that said asset is considered disposable. Akin to a rapper pouring Cristal on to the ground, best place for it but that's irrelevant here.

Others simply don't care - some aren't even bothered by dirt and will have a squalid house to go with it. In a previous job I used to do home visits (public sector rather than gigolo) and it was amazing how many apparently normal houses, on the outside, were festering rubbish tips internally.

The same went for cars. Some of said people would have an immaculate runabout as this was their public face, if you like.

My mum is very particular about her houses (moves quite often), likes to keep the garden neat etc.
But, although she doesn't exactly abuse her cars, she hates driving and I don't think she's ever washed one. Doesn't ever put it in the garage of course.

I don't see the point of having a nice looking house with a total st heap sat on the drive...

I'm somewhere in between with both houses and cars. I keep on top of the workings, cleaning is second priority but gets done often enough.

My MD is similar to this. He loves his car. Its a brand new xkr. However, he absolutely hammers it from cold and only cleans it via a car wash - you can see all the swirls on the bonnet when its sunny. eek
He loves my 10 year old M3, said it's in great condition. He asked if he could have a quick go, but was perplexed when I said no because the engine was cold. He's not ragging it when the engine isn't warmed up properly, I don't give a sh*t who he is! laugh

Some people just don't get it. I was at a shopping centre today and Jaguar had a stand outside. Lovely black F-Type on display, locked but with the roof down. Suddenly this bint plonks her child in it, allowing it to stand on the seat (in its shoes!) while she took a photo. I was having palpitations!

Those with scruffy cars are much likely to be the ones that don't mind banging into your car in car parks!

Why on earth would you care if a 'bint' took a picture of her child in her own car?

Seriously, I am astonished by some of the posts on here. Have some of you got nothing better to worry about than how other people use their own property? Really?

My partner has nice cars and ruins them. Her last car a Golf GTI was immaculate when she got it at 3 years old, over the next 5 years she managed to dent every pannel, scuff all the wheels, broke various bits of interior trim and generally treated like a skip!!

The thing is she cleans her car, all be it with fairy liquid...lol and always services them on time etc, etc. She just doesn't treat them very sypathetically.

In February she swapped the her battered 8 year old Golf for a 2009 Freelander 2, a very nice example, so far so good. I'm hoping this car being a bit more robust will stand up to the punishment it'll get.

Think you should re-read that, it was not her car.

He said it was a dealers car, a bit rude to do that to a pristine, brand new car, I doubt it would do any damage but I would be very careful around something like that, would she want the Jag salesman stood on her new Sofa in his size tens ?

There was a scruffy 206 parked behind my Fiesta this afternoon with bird poo ALL over it.

I was going to take a pic which would have fitted in this thread nicely.

Probably gone now and not going out to look..tongue out

Our Galaxy has a fair amount on it, it lives under a tree which appears to be the Wood Pigeon equivalent of public toilets, clean it and within an hour it has a load on, weird thing is, how often do you see bird st on pavement, fences and other stuff compared to on cars, I reckon they aim for cars, the more recently washed the better !

Some people do not treat anything well. These are people whom you lend a book and it comes back bent/creased etc.. You lend a DVD and the case comes back damaged.
