Would you ever buy yor first car back?
Discussion
So driving to the office this morning a little lime green VW polo caught my eye as they do each time I see one. This is because the first car I bought was a 2000 VW polo 1.0 E in metallic lime green not a uncommon car but I've only ever seen a few in that colour and they always make me smile and remember the one I owned. Anyway I spotted the reg and it was my one, this was only the second time I've seen it since selling it.
I then noticed the most important part, it was for sale for a mear £700 this has got me seriously thinking of how I can get the money together and give my old car a good home. Am I being stupid and blinded by nostalgia? I know the car is nothing special (its a bogo vag in the lowest trim) and I put a fair bit of money (brakes, clutch, rad) into it during my ownership but I think I still love it a little.

No, the chassis of that Triumph Herald had rusted to buggery so it went to the great car park in the sky years ago! However, my youngest lad, like the OP, had a VW Polo 1.0E as his first car and did nothing but complain about its total lack of performance. Having got rid he now eulogises about that car wishing he had it back! So what is it about these particular Vee Dubs that engenders such emotion?
