RE: Chris Harris video: R8 V10 vs 911 Turbo S vs GT-R
Discussion
Ace video, would have liked to see more footage of them on the road, but I understand the need to remain relatively legal.
Surely though, the 997 Turbo S was not "Porsche's fastest", that must be a title reserved, currently, for the 997 GT2 RS?
As seen here, driven by a lunatic

Loved the video, perfect b/g to midweek pizza Not sure it's quite fair, as no mention of warranty implications: you'd expect Pork & R8 to perform similarly at 60k miles with mfct backup, not sure a 50% added power GTR would be quite so 'everyday'. This vid & recent EVO test may explain why the R8+ was 'sub optimal' at SMMT day Fronts wrecked=too much understeer (trail brake helped but not ideal everywhere on hill route!)...
OMG great vid
REALLY great!!
Refreshing even
The Audi gets my vote
For sheer speed of course I'd be heading for the modded GTR............, but for enjoyment....., Audi....that noise..those looks.......yes
Had a drive in a V10 manual not long ago and if this is equal or better, I'm sold
The 911 looks good, really great, but the lack of character kills it.
Looking for a car which brings a smile to my face the most
I agree, Audi wins

Wonderful watch. This is the kind of thing that should replace Top Gear when everyone has finally had enough of it.
Well that has already happened. Topgear made the same mistake EVO did. They thought that the online format is erroding their core business of selling a magazine. The media kept on moving and they didn't. Topgear also worked against watching the programme outside of the UK. The saddest part was getting sent a DVD-R video from EVO at the end of the year like something a company would do 15 years ago to launch a product.
