I'm pretty sure the MV6 was available as a manual to Joe Public - I'm sure I drove one of the facelift ones at Bedford on a Autocar/Vauxhall day in 1999.
The MV6 could be had as a 2.5/2.6 or 3.0/3.2. The 2.2 was available with the same body kit and trim in 'Sport' spec.
Well, it certainly wasn't a 2.2! It was a manual MV6 facelift 3.0 .
Great fun, as I remember. Got a go in lots of hot VX on that day, including the Zafira VXR and a Corvette!

Can't see anything indicating engine size. The manual was only an option on the 2.5/2.6 though - if I remember correctly only plod-spec 3.0/3.2's had the manual box.

To be honest, I'd rather it with the autobox. In fact, when I get bored with the ZT, another Omega (either an Elite or MV6) could well be on the cards to replace it.....
Says it is a 2.6 in the advert smile

Pretty sure I have seen manual 3.0 / 3.2 ones before, although I could be wrong. It seems a manual MV6 is as rare as hens teeth. Shame, they look like great cars.

Did they ever come with an LSD?

Pretty sure they had an LSD, manuals at any rate. The one I drove at Bedford could get sideways at the drop of a hat.

Looks nice!
I keep seeing that when I browse the Hampshire Gumtree ads for BMWs to break for parts... that one is pretty awesome!

Right then chaps, given that my current contract has just come to an end I am looking to free up the pound notes in my daily and replace it with something from this thread or the sub -1k thread.

Bookmarked.

A Isuzu Piazza Turbo. There's one in bits rotting in a farmer's yard not far from me but not seen one moving for quite a while. That's quite a tidy looking example, I reckon it'll go for more than £1000.

Yep, four doors, ISOFIX (not a showstopper but would be ideal), and ideally within c. 40 miles of Southampton!

Keeping an eye on this thread and the 1-5, although I've not put a duplicate post over there

Thanks in advance

Sorted: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013...

5 months MOT and 6 months tax included!

Spend £150 getting an Indy to drop/clean the sump and do an oil/filter change (fully synthetic) and it'll go forever...

Looking at Jags this morning redface amazing what you can pick up, all so very tempting
The temptation was too much for me! I bought one for £500. Drove 250 miles back from Liverpool to somerset and all is well!

That looks great! I'm no expert but surely that is too cheap?
