This looks an excellent little car for the money and a rare one to boot.

205 STDT with the 1.8 turbodiesel engine.

MOT history looks good and the pics look good too.

Someone please buy this before I do.

Relatively speaking these things go like stink! I remember a mate of mine having one back in the day. We were having probably the worlds sttest drag race (me in my Rover 216GTi) I was expecting to walk it... He sailed past me with a massive grin on his face. hehe
haha.

a mate of mine had a Rover of the same shape as yours, but with a diesel in it. That way peppy as well - but then he flipped it. redface

The former.

Also 7k over thread budget.

Also, lack of boomerangs makes me sad.

That is so cheap it almost allows for the inevitable discovery of what will surely happen.

Someone might get a bargain there.

If £7000 got it you could be in a decent car there.

Worth finding and re-watching that Wheeler Dealer episode where they bought a cheap Mazza?

Cat c lol

Yes bargain you can tell people how much you paid for it, but neglect to say how much you have spent to keep it running.

Even the looked after ones cost thousands and are often "dealer only" repairs and the dealers somtimes struggle

I dread to think what a Cat C worn out one will be like

....get it bought

Since when could you describe a Maserati 4200 "supercar" as bargain basement?!

Cheap is a mis-used word in this instance, .

I ran one for 4yrs, only ever let me down when she needed 2 new batteries, did 30K miles under my ownership.

Granted you need a specialist to look after but other than wear and tear it was pretty reliable!

Only down side was expensive parts and then a failing common in a lot of Maseratis of that era, the front sub-frame rotted out!

P

PS But yes, have a £5-10K warchest to hand!!!!!!

I still don't get all the hate for leapers.

'Hate' is over-stating it, but they weren't original on these cars nor, in fact, on any Jaguar for donkeys, and yet people feel the need to add them.

Just a bit naff, and a bit of a pain to correct if it offends.

Leapers are for considerably older Jags. I hated the one on my X308 XJR but the quotes I got to have it removed and the bumpers sprayed made me stick with it.
