You need to travel further for decent sheds under £500 or know people. Got my e46 330i manual touring for £350 as it needed new suspension. £190ish for coilovers later it was on the road.
Yes. It's looking that way.It puts me off a bit as I've looked at three cars lately locally and they have all been pups. Nothing minor, as I know I won't get a perfect car at this price point. But one had a knackered clutch, one had no oil in the engine at all and the key didn't really work, and the final one had the top of the engine glued on.
Need to get the search radius increased.

Like the look of that. Looks like a good run around (I don't need a car for work). May have to call them but wouldn't be able to get up there until sat.

I'd say they paid no more than £100 for it.
As mentioned above the MOT history is pretty good, that could run for another 100k.
Keep us updated if you do go and have a look.
Drive it around different roads at different speeds eg slow corners, faster roads, round roundabouts. If it clunks/jerks when changing then depending on how bad, the box might only have a year or less life in it.
That doesn't mean it is a write off - I have had two similar with varying degrees of autobox problems and they have lasted way beyond expectations and were only sold on as I fancied a change of car. You just have to drive it more sympathetically and wait for the gear to change before accelerating.

Might be of interest to somebody if they need a load lugger ?

A years ticket on this Aero manual with ventilated seats. If I was even slightly nearer Carlisle then i'd have bought myself another black Saab.

I also note that the existing registration plate (X79XAO) doesn't come up on the DVLA database?TonyRPH said:

Selling cars at this money attracts all sorts, I'm not surprised a dealer wants to be very up front about the lack of warranty.

When you see they want a good price for their other saab it does suggest this is cheap for a reason.
