Inb4 the inevitable...

I've just found a lovely Rover 75 on eBay. Looks as if it's probably only had one owner from new.

I entered the world of Bangernomics at the weekend oddly enough with a Rover 75

I give you my Rover 75 1.8T tourer.

Everything works, 3 owners from new, 2K miles since 2015, MOTd every year on the same day by the same garage, 82K miles, 11months MOT and £595.

Sub £1K purchase, years tax and insurance. :-)

Wife hates it, but as a dog/tip/rugby car I'm delighted.

Self posted ads never last very long do they. Whereas those ads which are found by other thread members are fair game.

It's not my ad. It's the ad of the mother of a friend.

That is outrageous value.

The heater fan on my sheddy 9-3 has stopped working. If ever there was a sign that I should stick it on Facebook and replace it with an even bigger, faster, more sheddy shed...

my purchase last night - it doesn't exactly drive fantastically and the road noise is so bad I actually thought something was grinding until I went over a section of freshly replaced tarmac and the noise pretty much went, but with just over a year's MOT and £390 I thought it wasn't a bad buy while I build up the courage to join the bargists club:

Where did you find that?

Sub-500 quid 9-5 Aero HOT... what could possibly go wrong?

MOT history looks okay... ad isn't exactly brimming with info.

If it runs and has an MOT, can't go wrong with a sub 500 quid car that does 0 to 60 in 6.5s!

edit: it's an auto, so as per sotw, not as quick. still a lot of power.

This is now on eBay for the frankly insanely low price of £150.00.

I think it's time to call the garage and ask about the car. No way is that hanging around at such a low price. 4 months' ticket, history looks sound. If it's just a part-ex that's taking up space a Jag could be filling, but a perfectly working car, this could be bargain of the year.

If i had the time to and get that I would!

even as a complete unknown, with personal any vehicle breakdown cover its a steal. Breaks down, get recovered home and if its more than 50p to fix it'll weigh in without losing a penny

Imagine if it didn't, though.

Short of the auto 'box being knackered or the turbo and/or head gasket having blown, what could be wrong with it that £150 wouldn't be a bargain, anyway?

If I wasn't 400 miles away I'd be tempted.

It's 200 miles from me. That's far too close for my liking.

Perhaps buying it then taking it right to a trusted garage once in Newcastle for a once-over would be the right approach....

I wouldn't be spending the 50 quid for the once over! Get onward journey cover, if it explodes, ask to be towed to the scrapyard !

Phew - that was going to be a hectic 36 hrs buying, taxing, insuring, to get it home only to park it up for a while before I fly out of here on Wednesday morning.

Well done somebody, saved me shut loads of hassle !!
